Widespread Panic Concert Tour

When they got together hack in Athens, Georgia in 1986, the original members of Widespread Panic had no idea that they would grow to be the international success they have since become. Starting of at the University of Georgia in 1981, two guys by the names of John Bell and Michael Houser met and started the beginning of what would soon grow, Widespread Panic. A couple of years later they were joined by the bass talent of Dave Schools, and they were jamming together and rocking out all through the 80's. In 1986 they added drummer Todd Nance to the mix, and later on percussionist Domingo S. Ortiz as well as keyboardist John Hermann.

After they got comfortable with all of the additions and were starting to jam in sync, Widespread Panic started to spread their out away for just playing around Georgia, and they started venturing on out to places such as South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Virginia. Audiences everywhere were falling in lover and soon enough they were signing with Landslide Records. Space Wrangler was their first debut album release, and it had quite a load of amazing guest appearance from Alberto Salazarte to Phish. With their first album release came a loyal Widespread Panic fan following that would only continue to grow and grow.

When Widespread Panic released their first live debut album in 1998, Light Fuse, Get Away, it was an immediate sensation. The band held a free release party for their album in Athens and almost one hundred thousand fans came to ring in their honor. Widespread Panic seemed to be going faster and faster and getting more popular and widely acclaimed than anyone could have expected when in 2002 guitarist Michael Houser was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Sadly, Houser passed on August 10, 2002.

Widespread Panic decided they would go on and remember the talent and amazing touch Houser gave to them. With the help of guitarist George McConnell, Widespread Panic released Ball in 2003. After that, Panic came out with album after album and their fan base continued to flourish. They have since come out with ten studio albums, one compilation, seven live albums and two live archive releases.

Now comprised of John Bell, John Hermann, Todd Nance, Domingo S. Ortiz, Dave Schools and Jimmy Herring, Widespread Panic is jammin' out tunes like never before and audiences everywhere are falling in love all over again. Stay in the know with ticket information as it becomes available for your seats to see the epic southern rock band that is Widespread Panic live and in concert this year.
