They went on a lengthy winning after a disappointing 5-21 record which convinced them to waive Josh Smith who was there highest paid player. So far this offseason they drafted Stanley Johnson with the 8th overall pick and they resigned Reggie Jackson but let Greg Monroe walk away and sign with the Milwaukee Bucks. The Pistons signed Aron Baynes from the San Antonio Spurs and acquired Marcus Morris, Danny Granger, and Reggie Bullock from the Phoenix Suns and also acquired Ersan Illyasova from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Caron Butler. They should also be excited to see that Stanley Johnson has been one of the most impressive rookies in the summer league. The Detroit Pistons look to pick up off of what they did after waiving Josh Smith.
