On February 13, 2017, Metallica announced the North America dates for their WorldWired mega concert tour. Currently, there are twenty-five dates around North America, but you can bet they will be adding more to the list.

It all started back in 1982 when Metallica did 31 concert dates in North America all the way to 2014 when the band played five North America Dates including Metallica Staples Center concert on Jan 26th, Club Nokia in Los Angeles and National Mall in Washington DC in Nov 2011.
Throughout Metallica's career the band has preformed over 1845 times around the world with 1026 of those being in the United States followed by 111 times in Germany and 107 times in Canada with the bands first concert being at a small club in Anaheim California called Radio City where they played nine songs with the first song being "Hit the Lights" they also premiered "Jump in the Fire" the rest of the set list was mainly covers.
Metallica has played 194 live concerts in California the most of any state with New York being second with 86 times. The Fillmore in San Francisco has seen the most concerts over the years with a total of eight, Metallica Inglewood Forum concerts (7) and Shoreline (7) were the next closest In Anaheim Metallica Honda Center Concerts in 2011 sold out within mintues. In New York they have preformed five times at Madison Square Garden and seven times at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, NY. Delaware is the only state in the US that Metallica has only played one concert and it was back on August 7 1989 at the Stone Balloon.
