The Knicks have received some good news regarding their highest paid player, Carmelo Anthony. During the weekend, Anthony announced that he plans to be part of the USA Basketball minicamp that is scheduled for 11-13 August in Las Vegas. The camp is part of the build-up for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil. Melo will attend the camp, but will be on a minutes limit. No matter the limits, it is a good sign for the Knicks, who are hoping their star player will be ready for the start of the 2015-2016 season. Last year, Melo had a surgery in February, and is still not cleared for full movement. In the meantime, the Knicks continue to tweak their roster. The team is expected to sign rookies Jerian Grant and Kristaps Porzingis to contracts this week. In the same time, the Knicks are looking to add another big man up front after Cole Aldrich left the team to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers. Two options for the Knicks are Greg Stiemsma and Justin Hamilton.
