  • 06/22/2015

With the Los Angeles Kings farm team the Manchester Monarchs winning the 2015 Calder Cup their future is beginning to look brighter as they will have plenty of options before their 13th pick in the 2015 NHL Draft coming up. The Kings will be looking for youth which is very important if they want to keep moving forward. Their second pick in the draft look for the LA to snag some blue line players if possible. With a strong farm team of players Los Angeles could also use their multiple draft picks to trade with some other NHL teams to quickly beef up their lines as well.

  • 06/15/2015

The Kings still have line issues to deal with as one of their stars Dustin Brown will be turning 31 this November and with this shooting percentage slipping for the last two consecutive seasons carries a $5.87 million cap for the LA through 2022. Justin Williams is do become an unrestricted free agent starting on July 1st. Brown could be lining up with Nick Shore or Kopitar this 2015-2016 depending on what happens with Williams.

  • 06/01/2015

The Los Angeles Kings will have some big decisions to make as during the NHL offseason as they look to get back in the hunt for the Stanley Cup trophy. Most important is the Salary Cap options. Jamie McBain, Andrej Sekera, Jarrett Stoll, Justin Williams are all unrestricted free agents. LA has just seven million dollars to play with which isn’t much to cover all these unrestricted free agents as well as Andy Andreoff, Tyler Toffoli, Martin Jones who are restricted agents as well as getting any new life and blood to the LA Kings lines. LA also has major issues with its current players such as Stoll getting arrested and Mike Richards not staying in Los Angeles to train but returning home after his exit meeting.

  • 05/11/2015

LA has a lot of thinking to do during the off season. Will they resign Jarret Stoll? Stoll is coming off a three year almost ten million dollar deal with the Kings. The 33 year old joined the Kings in 2008 and since then there has been a steady decrease in his goal and point production as well as off the ice issues. With the entire line getting older the Kings will need to make some offseason moves to get some youth and speed. Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel are the big names in the NHL draft that they could be looking at. LA could also do well with the eighteen year old winger Timo Meier who is both a physical and explosive winger. As the line gets older the Kings are at the point of little fixes that might not help get them the Cup back or rebuilding completely.

  • 04/06/2015

With just four games left in the regular NHL season the Los Angeles Kings are still grasping on to the eight spot for the NHL playoffs. With 92 points the Kings are only one point behind the Calgary Flames and three points behind the Vancouver Canucks in the Pacific Division. Both of these teams the Kings will face on the road in their last four games of the season. If LA can hold off Winnipeg and grab the eighth seed in the Western Conference they could be facing the Anaheim Ducks in the first round of the NHL playoffs.

  • 03/27/2015

The Los Angeles Kings are holding on for dear life sitting in the eight spot in the Western Conference Standings. Los Angeles remains perfect on their current road trip as they were able to defeat the New York Islanders 3-2 on Thursday in their final visit to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
