No Doubt Information:
Tour Name: “Push and Shove”
Genre: Ska, Grunge, Hip-Hop, Pop
Band Members: Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young, and Tom Dumont

No Doubt has been rocking audiences with their always-fresh mix of punk, pop, and ska. Their roots began in a Dairy Queen, where Eric Stefani met John Spence and together they started the two-tone ska-band, Apple Core. In time, Eric brought his little sister Gwen Stefani on board to sing back-ups. The trio gradually recruited friends so play instruments, and Apple Core gained a small following of loyal fans.

Less than two years later, in December of 1997, John Spence tragically took his life in an Anaheim park with a gun. The group came close to disbanding, distraught by the heavy loss, and even went so far as to announce their break-up at a show at t he Roxy. However, the Stefani's realized that John would have wanted the group to go on performing and making great music. One of his favorite expressions was “No Doubt”, and in his honor Eric and Gwen Stefani, and the rest of the No Doubt group members, decided to carry on in his name; thus a legend of a group was born.

No Doubt released their self-titled introductory album “No Doubt”, in 1992, but failed to sell more than 30,000 albums. What followed after that however was to become a huge commercial success as they went through a string of record-label and band-member changes that finally resulted in their 1995 release of Tragic Kingdom, which depicted the break-up of a seven-year relationship between Gwen Stefani and her bassist Tony Kanal.

With record-high sales, No Doubt embarked on a 27-month international tour promoting Tragic Kingdom . ; The band made the brilliant decision to release songs from the album as singles, and by the end of the year No Doubt had gone eight-times platinum, sweeping awards at the Grammy's.
