Born in Heidelberg, Germany on October 9th , 1948 as Clyde Jackson Browne, Brown's father was a serviceman and mother, Beatrice Amanda, a Minnesota native with Norwegian ancestry. When his family moved on over to Los Angeles, California it was then in which Jackson Browne started to get the musical itch for folk tunes. He started playing in dive bars around town. 1966 brought Jackson Browne his first experience working with others in the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Soon enough, people took note of Jackson Browne's magnificent talent and art for songwriting. He started writing for many, and scored a contract with Nina Music. Artists such as Joan Baez, Tom Rush, the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, and Steve Noonan among many others performed his work. There was a brief moment in which Jackson Browne headed on over to the East coast for some time in which he lived in Greenwich Village in New York. He did some work with Tim Buckley and some other projects, but soon enough he headed on back to the Southern California life, where he has been since.

From singing and songwriting to playing the guitar and piano, there aren't many things Jackson Browne can do wrong. As well as his amazing presence on stage and through all of his work, he is as well just as active of stage and out of the studio with his large impact on environmental activism and raising awareness and help in supporting Tibet and the human rights situations there. The Peace Abbey in Sherborn, Massachusetts bestowed Jackson Browne with the Courage of Conscience Award for, “promoting peace and justice through his music and his unrelenting support for that which promotes nonviolent solutions to problems both nationally and internationally.”

Jackson Browne definitely has a lot to say, as well as a lot of heart and soul that he puts into all of his work. Fans everywhere fall in love with him for it, and for his raw passion to spread all that he ahs with the world. On his World Tour 2008-2009, Jackson Browne will be doing just that, sharing all he has to give with the world. It will kick off in Oakland, California on September 27 th and then head on over to the Northwest on the 29 th in Seattle, Washington and rounding out the end of September at the beautiful Portland, Oregon on the 30 th . After that, the World Tour 2008-2009 of Jackson Browne will be hitting up everywhere possible and not stopping until the finale on April 12, 2009 in London, England at the London Royal Albert Hall.

The opportunity to see Jackson Browne live will not be around for long, so stay updated with ticket information as it becomes available for your seats to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer live.
