Born on July 20, 1964 in Seattle , Washington , Christopher John Boyle was born and raised in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest . Born to an Irish Catholic pharmacist Ed Boyle and Jewish accountant Karen Cornell, Chris Cornell was the middleman with two older brothers and three younger sisters. Keeping it in the family, two of Chris's sisters Katy and Suzy along with his brother Peter came together to form the pop group Inflatable Soule.

Chris became very influenced by the Beatles at a young age, even listening to them non stop for two years in a row. It was soon into his teen years that Chris Cornell suffered a painful bout with depression. For the course of an entire year Chris Cornell did not leave his house, but instead stuck with drinking and playing the drums and guitar. Chris Cornell finally left his house and went on to a few different random jobs such as a sous chef at a local restaurant, Ray's Boathouse, and as a seafood wholesaler.

Chris Cornell soon got into focusing most of his time on his music career, and with much admiration from fans everywhere. It was when he teamed up with the works of Soundgarden that really landed him in the spotlight.

It was in 1998 that Chris Cornell decided to focus more on his solo career, and that idea when off without a hitch. Euphoria Morning was Chris Cornell's first studio album solo release on September 21, 1999 with the works of various artists such as Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider. The album itself wasn't widely popular, but the single. "Can't Change Me" became an international success and was soon enough nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance".
