Eastern Conference Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers play in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference along with the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons.

Cleveland Cavaliers Guide

It has been a roller coaster for the Cleveland Cavaliers and their fans over the past few seasons. For years they were always a guarantee to be competitive with superstar LeBron James leading his hometown team into the playoffs. After LeBron left, the Cavs became an NBA afterthought. But now, if James back in the fold, the Cavs are just as good as ever.

And with LeBron James back in Cleveland, he brings a whole new supporting cast with him that give fans exactly what they paid for. James will give the crowd acrobatic dunks that will leave fans in awe when he's on a breakaway or receiving an alley oop from his teammates. The Cavs are also a tough team that will give the fans the opportunity to see some defensive basketball and strong rebounding.

The thing that Cavaliers provide to their fans that is completely unmatched is the prospect of winning. Cleveland has some of the biggest stars in the NBA on their roster that are almost impossible to compete with for 48 minutes. This gives fans the guarantee that the Cavs will be in a competitive game and they have the chance to celebrate a big win afterwards.

Cleveland Cavaliers Team Info

The Cavaliers are obviously led by James, who is the consensus best player in the NBA and arguably the best player to ever play the game. But outside of James the Cavs also have stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Irving serves as a great passer and penetrator in the lane while Love acts as a massive offensive mismatch for any team. The Cavs also have strong depth players, such as Matthew Dellavedova.

Cleveland Cavaliers Playoff Experience

While many believe that the Cavaliers franchise hasn't been at all successful without LeBron, they might be surprised to learn that the Cavs have made the playoffs 19 times in the past 40 or so years. Unfortunately for the Cavs, they have not done much once they got into the playoffs, as they have only made one trip to the NBA Finals in their history, losing the contest.

Cleveland Cavaliers History

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been a mainstay in Cleveland since they were founded in 1970. They have never moved or changed their name since this founding. As stated above, the Cavaliers have had great regular season success in their short history but have not, as of yet, carried that success over into the playoffs. The Cavs success mostly came from some great players and coaches, including Hall of Famers Nate Thurmond and Lenny Wilkins. James is a sure fire Hall of Famer once he calls it quits and he will certainly be a huge part of this team's history.

Cleveland Cavaliers Fun Fact

Did you know every single franchise record is held by only two players?

The Cavaliers franchise records are all held by only two players, LeBron James and Žydr?nas Ilgauskas. James holds all of the scoring records while Ilgauskas holds records such as games played and rebounds.

Cleveland Cavaliers Fans

Cleveland is a huge sports city and they have always supported the Cavaliers, especially after James arrived with the team. Many of their fans also come from all around Ohio and Western Pennsylvania with the other major cities in the area not having a team to support. And of course, many fans follow LeBron James to teams. And with LeBron back with the Cavs and the Cavs competing again, Cleveland should see an uptick in fans.
