Where to eat by Angels Stadium

Angels Stadium
Angeles Stadium

If you’re heading to the Angels Stadium of Anaheim to catch a Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball game, then chances are you’re going to be out for the day or night. If you’re like a lot of American, a good ole ballpark frank will do the trick, but if your palette requires a bit more than the musty stench of beer brats, there are plenty of options to stir your senses in the right direction. Below are three suggestions for alternatives to “food by the masses”:

Haven Gastropub Orange
Haven Gastropub

1. Haven Gastropub

190 S. Glassell St. Orange, CA 92866

(714) 221-0680

10 Minutes from Angels Stadim (Get Directions)

www.havengastropub.com

With top of the line libations and a menu that is worthy of multiple trips, Haven Gastropub provides you food that you will actually want to savor before going to the Angels game. The classic Mac & Cheese comes with Truffle shavings that add a flavorful kick, and the Chicken & Waffles combine sweet and savory that will make desert unnecessary. The service is consistently on time and friendly and extremely attentive to all special needs. The Haven Burger topped with the in-house ketchup is a pure delight that is not to be missed. American cuisine at its finest with a fine drought to flush it down.

Bruxie

2. Bruxie

292 N Glassell St, Orange, California 92866

(714) 633-3900

10 Minutes from Angels Stadim (Get Directions)

Bruxie is considered an American Bistro, and might also be compared to Haven Gastropub, but as the much cheaper version. Think of it as a step up from ballpark food, and a step down from Haven. They do have a number of local favorites including the buttermilk fried chicken waffle sandwich, which will leave you with the happiest guy ache you’ve ever had. It is served with a light honey glaze and fresh fruit to try and distract you from the fact that you are eating chicken inside a waffle, but don’t be fooled. You will be back for more, because it is just that good. The service is friendly, and people here tend to enjoy themselves whether they are going to the game or not. Great for large families and parties.

Blue Bayou Restaurant
Blue Bayou Restaurant

3. Blue Bayou

1313 South Harbor Blvd Anaheim, California

(714) 781-3463

10 Minutes from Angels Stadium (Get Directions

For the best straight up Cajun food that you will find anywhere near Anaheim, the Blue Bayou is a no brainer. Entering the Bayou, you feel as though you’re in the French quarter in Louisiana, and the feeling will stay with you through the meal. You have to enter into Disneyland to get into this amazing restaurant, but it is almost worth the price of admission by itself. The beef short ribs and the baked apple are local favorites that you must try. Watch out for the Pirates of the Caribbean right outside the door!
