The Fame Ball Tour was the debut concert tour for Lady Gaga. Her 2009 tour was in support of her first studio album “The Fame” which came out in 2008.
Lady Gaga had previously been the opening act for the New Kids on the Block Live Tour as well as the Pussycat Dolls’ Doll Domination Tour.
Fame Ball Tour began March 12, 2009, at the House of Blues in San Diego and ended September 29, 2009, at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C.
There were eighty-three concert dates in total with thirty-one in North America, thirty-two in Europe as well as ten in both Asia and Oceania.
According to an interview with Lady Gaga in Billboard Magazine, Gaga prepared three versions of her show to cater to different sizes of the venues she played.

The tour consisted of mostly smaller venues such as the 2700 capacity Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles gross revenue $52,900. The San Diego House of Blues 1000 person capacity gross revenue $18,500 and the Gothic Theater in Englewood 1088 capacity which grossed $20,000. Lady Gaga concert tickets averaged $153.20 on the secondary market for her tour.
