Batman fans rejoice as the DC Comics cultural icon Batman finally makes its way to North America for live stage performances. DC Comics recently announced the arrival of Batman Live; a live show based on their famous franchise character. Set to debut September 5th 2012 with a run of five performances at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, Batman Live is finally in the U.S. after completing and extensive tour of the UK, Europe, and Latin America. The fifteen million dollar stage production is set to hit major cities such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and more.
The premise behind Batman Live focuses on Robin. In his quest for justice, Robin unwittingly follows the footpath of his hero; Batman. Robin’s guardian, Bruce Wayne, is not happy with the advances in Robin’s journey. The audience knows Bruce Wayne is Batman but as of yet Robin does not! Bruce Wayne must work to protect his identity from Robin while at the same time protecting the safety and well being or Robin. Aided by his trusty butler Alfred Pennyworth and the good Police Commissioner James Gordon, Batman and his friends must unite forces to combat the seemingly never ending slew of villains set out to destroy Batman for good.
