Donny and Marie Osmond are a part of The Osmonds, the American family music group that began in 1958 and rose to world-wide fame in the late sixties through the seventies. The Osmonds originally began with Alan, Wayne, Merrill and Jay Osmond. Later the quartet was joined by Donny, Jimmy and their only sister Marie Osmond. After achieving so much fame, Donny, Marie, and Jimmy all branched off in pursuit of their individual solo careers. Jimmie had a No. 1 hit in the UK in 1972, Marie had a No. 1 hit on the country music charts when she was just thirteen years old and Donny had a No. 1, No. 2, and No. 8 hit between 1971 and 1976.
