Country music was made for the summertime.
If you’re a country fan, you’ve got a lot to look forward to this year, especially this summer. There are unending tours rolling through a town near you that you’re not gonna want to miss. There’s a little something for everyone, too.
If you’re more of a pop-country fan, there’s a whole lot of that, but if you reside more on the traditional or classic country side of things, then you’re going to be pleasantly surprised.
We’re going to go over the very best country concerts in 2019 so you don’t have to figure out who’s coming. Just read along and we’ll tell you. You just focus on looking good, kickin’ back, and having some fun. Let’s giddy-up.
Country Concerts in 2019
No matter where you are in America, there’s a tour coming by your town. Get your boots ready and call up your fun-loving friends. Here are the 11 best country tours of 2019.
1. Kip Moore
Kip Moore’s upbeat rock-country vibe has been dazzling audiences since his 2012 debut, but his latest effort is a stripped-down acoustic record called “Room to Spare”. This is what he’s been taking on tour for the last few months and he’s not stopping until the fall.
Check out the dates on his site, where you’ll notice that he’s hitting every nook and cranny of the US and Canada with a quick jaunt over to the UK in September. You should never miss a Kip Moore performance. He’s one of the bright spots of the country scene in 2019.
2. Garth Brooks
Garth is essentially a country god at this point. At almost 60 years old, it’s hard to believe he’s got that much left in the tank, but he’s got some sprawling stadium tour dates set for the summer.
Get your tickets now, they’ve been selling like hot cakes. He recently broke Arizona’s State Farm Stadium’s record, selling a whopping 77,653 tickets. That’s par for the course for this towering figure of country. You’ve got to see Garth while he’s still kicking, there’s nothing quite like it.
3. Lady Antebellum
This trio actually has a Las Vegas residency at the moment, but that’s not stopping them from hitting the road during their time off. They’re going to be touring through a bunch of the South with a few Midwest dates before heading back to Vegas at the end of August.
We’re pretty sure they’ve picked up a few tricks being on the strip. The show is sure to be full of exciting moments that they’ve been wowing Vegas crowds with.
4. Kacey Musgraves
Kacey has become country music’s sweetheart in the last five years. She hasn’t put out a bad record to date and it’s starting to feel like she could get even better. Her live show certainly has. From the sparkling outfits that she and her band wear to the exciting tunes on stage, she’s the new Dolly.
Despite the neglect that she gets from country radio, Kacey is beginning to draw huge audiences at her shows. She’s going to be all over America into the early fall, so don’t miss your chance to see her.
5. Luke Bryan
Luke’s taking a quick break from being a judge on American Idol to do a summer tour. The “Sunset Repeat Tour”, as it’s been dubbed, will start in June and hit every place you can think of, including a few festival dates, in America.
6. Luke Combs
Last year’s breakout star, Luke Combs is bringing country music back to its roots. His music is fun, introspective, and laden with his southern twang. What’s crazy is that it was only 2 years ago that he was opening for Jason Aldean. Now he’s doing amphitheaters and arenas wherever he goes.
That’s what a Grammy-nomination can do for you. Catch Luke at an arena near you all the way up until December.
7. Margo Price
Third Man Records star Margo Price doesn’t claim to be a part of the Nashville machine. Sure, she lives there, but she’s part of the underground Nashville scene that’s gotten so much notoriety lately.
Befriending Chris Stapleton is one way to get ahead, but don’t be fooled, she’ll blow your socks off before Chris hits the stage. Check Margo out on Stapleton’s outdoor concert extravaganza, which starts in July and runs through till September.
8. Florida Georgia Line
Famed country duo Florida Georgia Line will be mixing in some summer and fall touring with their rigorous Las Vegas residency schedule. Expect big things from Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, as they’ve become one of the huge tickets in country music, pumping out hit after hit.
They’ll be on tour, hitting every huge outdoor stage that you can think of, through summer into early fall before they head back to Vegas to finish off their residency. Don’t miss it.
9. Blake Shelton
For a night out with the boys, it’s going to be hard to beat Blake. The Voice judge will head out on his “Friends and Heroes” tour with country vets Trace Adkins, John Anderson, and The Bellamy Brothers.
It’s a loaded bill with some classic country superstars, so get your tickets today before they sell out.
10. Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood recently became the first female to have four albums debut at number 1 of the Billboard all-genre chart. Naturally, she’s going to take her album, “Cry Pretty” out on tour this summer.
It started on May 1st, but check the listings and you may just see a show near you. She’ll be on tour until the end of October, so there’s still a chance for you to catch the show.
11. Willie Nelson
Of course, Willie is touring. The Red Headed Stranger isn’t red anymore, but that doesn’t stop the 86 year old from entertaining audiences all over the country. He released two albums last year, which you’ll get a hefty dose of, along with some classics performed by Willie and friends.
You won’t want to miss Willie this summer, but we’re pretty sure he’ll be touring every summer until who knows when. Willie will outlive us all.
