Since there hasn’t been a hockey game at Dodger Stadium yet it’s a bit tough to say exactly where the best seating location for the Kings Vs Ducks game is. It is also a personal preference as to where you like to sit for a hockey game. Some people like to sit as close to the action as possible while others like a higher view as to be able to see actual plays develop. Others like the action coming at them so they prefer to sit behind the goal and just have too look forward the entire game.

The the reserve level at Dodger Stadium will give you what seems to be a great overview of all the action going on. Loge should give you a great view as well. For people who like to be closer down of course Field Box is the way to go.

The Dodger Stadium contest will feature the team with the best record in the National Hockey League, Anaheim, and the Los Angeles Kings, winners of the 2012 Stanley Cup. The red hot Ducks, behind the superstars Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, lead the NHL with 75 points and are currently on a seven-game winning streak. Getzlaf and Perry are fourth and sixth in the NHL in scoring with forty-eight combined goals between them. They’ve helped lead one of the NHL’s most dynamic offenses and will be a stern test for Jonathan Quick and the elite Los Angeles Kings defense.

The Kings have had a solid season fighting through several key injuries including losing their All-Star goaltender Quick for nearly two months due to a groin injury. Los Angeles boasts a deep roster of talent including one of the top defensive corps in the NHL. The catalyst for the Kings success is Quick who returned from his injury on January 8th. The Kings are currently sixth in the Western Conference with 61 points, well within striking distance of Chicago and Anaheim for the top seeds in the conference.
Anaheim and Los Angeles will meet at the Honda Center on Thursday, January 23rd, two nights prior to the outdoor game. The doubleheader will give the Kings golden opportunity to make up ground on the Western Conference leaders immediately, adding additional intensity to the rivalry between the two Southern California teams.

The NHL will utilize technology first used during an outdoor game in Las Vegas in 1991. The Kings also played in the Vegas game in 1991 and despite temperatures that reached 85 degrees the ice held up the warm conditions. Like in Las Vegas the game will be played at night to mitigate temperature issues. Over the past several years the league has perfected the technology behind their portable refrigeration equipment they use for the outdoor games. The game at Dodger Stadium will reportedly be able to seat as many as 70,000 people, creating unique memories for Los Angeles hockey fans.
