The Daytona 500 carries the largest purse of more than $18 million dollars. The race is regarded as the most important and prestigious race on the 2018 NASCAR race calendar.

February 18, 2018 – NBA All-Star Game

April 7, 2018, End of the NHL Season – Start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs

May 5, 2018 – Kentucky Derby

Inaugurated in 1875, the Kentucky Derby is a Thoroughbred horse race that takes place annually at Churchill Downs Louisville, Kentucky. Nick named the “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.” The Kentucky Derby is the first leg of the Tripple Crown. The distance of the race is 1 1/4 miles, and the surface is dirt. The Kentucky Derby purse for the winner is $1,425,000.

May 19, 2018 – Preakness Stakes

Inaugurated in 1873, the Preakness Stakes is a flat thoroughbred horse race held at Pimlico Race Course Baltimore, Maryland. Nicknamed “The Second Jewel of the Triple Crown.” The Preakness Stakes run over 1 3/16 miles, or 9.5 furlongs and is the second race of the Tripple Crown. The winning purse is $1,500.000.

The actual name is The Championships, Wimbledon, but more commonly known simply as Wimbledon is the oldest professional tennis tournament in the world. Founded in 1877, Wimbledon takes place at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, England. The event features Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles and is one of four Grand Slam tennis tournaments. The total prize money is £31,600,000 with both Gentlemen’s and Women’s singles champions each receiving £2.2 million.

July 10, 2018 – Major League Baseball All-Star Game

This year will mark the 89th Major League Baseball All-Star Game the game and take place at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. The MLB All-Star game showcases the top vote getters from the American and National League teams. Before the July 10th MLB, All Star game is the July 9th Home Run Derby as well as the All-Star Futures Game comprised of minor league baseball prospects.
