  • 01/11/2016

As the Warriors roll to six straight wins, Draymond Green is more and more making his case for an All-Star game starter. Green recorded his league leading eight triple-double the past week, and is now just two short of a season record 10 triple doubles held by Jason Kidd. Green recorded his eight triple double against the Portland Trail Blazers, posting 11 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Curry and Thompson led the way with 26 and 36 points, but it was Green who held it all together. The Warriors also beat the Hornets, the Lakers and the Kings the past week, and got two more good news to go along with their wins. Coach Steve Kerr was at the Sacramento game, but watched it from the locker room on a TV screen. However, his return should happen sooner rather than later. The second good news is that Steph Curry will play through the injury in his shin, but he will wear soccer protectors for his shin. The point guard said recently that he has no intention of resting one month for the injury to heal itself.

  • 01/08/2016

Bad News the Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry having a leg injury the Warriors are in a pickle to either rest him for 4 weeks or have him just play through it to get to 72 wins this season. The Warriors have now moved to an impressive 33-2 record which is the top of the Western Conference, the entire NBA, and the best start to a season in NBA history after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 109-88 where Klay Thompson led the team in scoring where he put up 36 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block, Draymond Green led the team in rebounds where he put up 9 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 block, Stephen Curry and Ian Clark both led the team in assists where Stephen Curry put up 17 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists, and 3 steals before heading to the locker room with a leg injury and Ian Clark put up 3 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, and 4 blocks. The Golden State Warriors look to go for 5 in a row against the Portland Trail Blazers where the main matchup to watch is between the backcourts of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson vs Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

  • 01/05/2016

The Warriors are taking a precautionary approach with Steph Curry, as the point guard will miss a game or two to rest his leg and stay healthy for the course of the season. In his absence, Draymond Green has been the leader of the Warriors, recording league leading sixth triple-double this past week. Green also recorded back to back triple double, something he has done for the second time this season. The Warriors went 3-1 the past week, losing only to the Dallas Mavericks, but also beating the Sacramento Kings, the Houston Rockets and the Denver Nuggets. Green recorded his fifth triple-double against the Rockets, with a stat line of 10 points, 11 rebounds and 16 assists, leaving the scoring burden to Klay Thompson who led the Warriors with 38 points. Against the Nuggets, Green was even more impressive, scoring 29 points, dishing 14 assists and grabbing 17 rebounds to help the Warriors stay unbeaten at home. Curry played against the Nuggets, but re-injured his left leg and will probably miss the next few games. Against the Nuggets, forward Andre Iguodala got his first start after the Finals, starting in place of injured Brandon Rush.

  • 01/01/2016

Good and Bad News for the Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry was named AP male athlete of the year but has been out with a leg injury where the Warriors have now moved to an impressive 30-2 record after defeating the Houston Rockets 114-110 without Stephen Curry and Harrison Barnes where Klay Thompson led the team in scoring where he put up 38 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block, Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut both led the team in rebounds where Draymond Green put up a triple double with 10 points, 11 rebounds, 16 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, and Andrew Bogut put up 9 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block, James Michael McAdoo led the team in steals where he put up 7 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals, and Andre Igoudala also had a big game where he put up 20 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. The Golden State Warriors look to go on another run hope to have Stephen Curry back against the Denver Nuggets where the main matchup to watch is between power forwards Draymond Green vs Kenneth Faried.

  • 12/29/2015

The Warriors played just two games last week and they won both of them. The Christmas matchup with the Cavaliers was the most anticipated game of the season, and it sure didn’t disappoint. Draymond Green was the best player on the floor on Christmas, scoring 22 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and dishing 7 assists to lead the charge for the Warriors. Steph Curry was limited due to injury issues, but he still managed to play and contribute 19 points and 7 assists in 36 minutes of action. The game was a statement game for the Warriors, who beat the Cavaliers with Cleveland at full strength. Many people were pointing that the Cavs missed Irving and Love in the 2015 Finals, but Cleveland lost even at full strength. The Warriors also got more good news last week, with the news that Steve Kerr will return to the sidelines sometimes in January. Forward Harrison Barnes is also set to return sometimes during this week. The Warriors also beat the Utah Jazz the past week, with Klay Thompson leading the way with 20 points.

  • 12/22/2015

The Warriors played only two games last week, and they won them both. After beating the Phoenix Suns 128-103 at home, the Warriors welcomed the Milwaukee Bucks, the team that ended their winning streak and got revenge. Against the Suns, Klay Thompson scored 43 points to lead the way, with 27 of those coming into the third quarter. Thompson was the scoring leader against the Bucks as well, scoring 27 points. After the game, Klay said he believes he is the best shooting guard in the league, with his Warriors being 26-1. Against the Bucks, the Warriors were again trailing at halftime (70-58), and it looked like the Bucks will sweep the season series. But Curry and Green took over. Curry finished with a near triple-double (26 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists). Green also had a nice game with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, and 1 steal. Curry’s streak with a made 3-pointer reached 100 games against the Bucks.

  • 10/27/2015

The Defending Champs open up the regular season against Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans for a 1st round playoff rematch where Stephen Curry and company will have there ring ceremony. The Golden State Warriors are predicted to be the kings of the Western Conference for another title run.

  • 10/20/2015

It seems like the topic of the preseason is whether Golden State earned the Championship last year. The saga with the Clippers continued over the weekend, with MVP Steph Curry chipping in. Curry apologized for everything they did last season, apologizing because they were healthy, because they were playing against who was in front of them, and for all the accolades they received. He also said they will rectify the mistake this year, and try to beat all the best teams the season throws at them. And it seems like Rivers words will be welcomed in Golden State, where most players seem to have taken it personal, and use those words as a motivation. And every bit of motivation is welcomed for a team hungry for a repeat, especially after they’ve won the first title in a dominant fashion. Meanwhile, in team news, it seems like Coach Steve Kerr will be back soon, as interim coach Luke Walton told reports that Kerr is close to return.

  • 09/28/2015

The Golden State Warriors have just recently had there media day which was headlined by Draymond Green, Jason Thompson, and Ian Clark where they repeat for a 2nd straight championship as they open up this upcoming season against the New Orleans Pelicans where you get to see Draymond Green matchup against Anthony Davis which will be a tough, fun, and exciting matchup to watch.

  • 09/07/2015

Golden State Warriors Draymond Green has been being projected to make his 1st ever All Star appearance alongside with his teammates Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. This past season he was a shut down defender where he was a runner up for defensive player of the year and he averaged 11.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists and took the starting power forward spot away from 2 time All Star David Lee who is now with the Boston Celtics. With the Warriors sticking with there core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andre Igoudala, Andrew Bogut, and Harrison Barnes the Golden State Warriors look to repeat for back to back NBA titles.

  • 09/03/2015

After dancing for a few weeks and months, it seems now that the Warriors and forward Harrison Barnes will not sign a new contract this summer. Barnes was eligible for extension, and both sides expressed mutual interest for a new contract, but they couldn’t come to the terms. At the moment, it is unlikely that the Warriors will give Barnes an extension this summer. After paying Draymond Green a max contract, the Warriors must be careful and cautious with their cap situation. The team has Steph Curry free agency in mind, and while they have Curry as an absolute bargain at $11 million per year for the next two seasons, he will eventually get paid. For the Warriors, the better option is to let Barnes play the next season for $3.8 million, and let the market set the price for the forward next year. Next summer, Barnes will be a restricted free agent, and the Warriors can match any offer he receives. The only question is whether someone gives Barnes a mega contract that the Warriors cannot swallow?

  • 08/24/2015

The Warriors continue to make under the radar moves in order to bolster their depth. In a classic rich get richer move, the Warriors invited Jarell Eddie to their training camp. Eddie is a former three-point shootout champion in the NBA D-League. Jarell participated in the 2014 summer league, playing for the Washington Wizards, but he failed to make the team. He also signed with the Atlanta Hawks, but was cut off from the roster just one month after signing. His stay with the Boston Celtics lasted just four days. Eddie is well known by Steph Curry, as Jarell beat his brother Seth Curry during the 2015 D-League three-point shootout. The Warriors also got some bad news the past week, as their first round pick, Kevon Looney had his hip surgery. The expected time frame for his recovery is 4 to 6 months. Looney was drafted with one goal, to replace David Lee as the first round pick has a solid defensive instincts, is a good rebounder, and his incredibly long arms can deflect passes and shots.

  • 08/17/2015

The NBA released the schedule for the 2015-2016 season, and it looks like the Champs will have a hard time defending their crown. The Warriors have 20 sets of back to back games to deal with, the most in the league. 11 of those sets are road-road games, with just one being home/home. Starting the season, the Warriors will play more on the road than home. During the period from December to February, the Warriors will mostly play on the road, with each month having three or four games more on the road. In February, the Warriors will have their longest road trip of seven games around the All Star break. The Warriors will have another 7 game road trip, starting from 30 November at Utah and ending at Milwaukee on 12 December. The longest homestand the Champs will experience is 6 games, playing at home from March 7 to March 16. The Warriors will also play on both holidays, MLK day and Christmas day. Both matchups will be against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team they beat in the Finals. GSW will also play on the night before New Year’s eve, facing the Rockets in Houston.

According to a report by ESPN released this weekend, the Warriors and the Spurs are ranked as the top contenders in the West. As a reigning Champion, the Warriors are ranked No.1 to win the West and play in the Finals for two consecutive years. Following the Warriors are the Spurs, who after their acquisition of Lamarcus Aldridge, jumped high in the ranks. On unrelated news, according to several reports, the Warriors and the Cavaliers are set to have a rematch of the Finals on Christmas Day. Games on Christmas Days are ones that draw the highest ratings in recent years, and for this year, the NBA is bringing a rematch of the Finals. The Warriors will be without David Lee this time, as he was replaced by Jason Thompson. But the biggest change will be the Cavaliers, who will probably be healthy and have Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving in the lineup.

  • 08/03/2015

The Warriors regained their flexibility on the roster and versatility, by trading for Jason Thompson, a former King. Thompson was traded to the Sixers during the off season, and the Warriors acquired him for Gerald Wallace. The Warriors will also send two future second round picks to the 76ers. When motivated, Thompson is a young and decent power forward who can rebound, block and deflect shots. He can serve as a good rim protector, spelling time for Andrew Bogut. The deal also saves money for the Warriors, who are getting a lot cheaper player that can replace David Lee on the bench as a versatile power forward. In essence, the Warriors managed to swap David Lee for Jason Thompson and get some picks in the process. On another note, the Warriors completed their coaching staff, promoting Luke Walton to an assistant to take over the place held by Alvin Gentry. Jarron Collins was also promoted to assistant, after working as a player development coach. The new face on the coaching staff is Bruce Fraser, who will take over the place occupied by Collins.

Steph Curry won the league MVP Award, but last week, he lost in the vote for the MVP award voted by NBA Players. Curry finished second in the voting by players, just behind James Harden. For the regular season MVP award awarded by the league, Curry edged Harden. Last week, the Warriors organized a meeting of two championship teams, with FC Barcelona being in the United States. The two teams met, and the Warriors delegation was led by forward Harrison Barnes. The Warriors also announced the official commemorative DVD for the 2014-2015 regular season, which is named “Strength in Numbers”. The DVD is available for sale on warriors.com for a price of $24.95. The DVD is produced by NBA Entertainment and highlights the historic season in which the Warriors won franchise record 67 games and won the Championship after a 40 years drought.

They also have resigned Draymond Green. They are looking to go after a 2nd straight championship. They are looking top start a dynasty with there team.

  • 07/15/2015

Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry was named Best Male Athlete and Best NBA Player at the 2015 ESPY Awards. The Warriors Coach Head Coach Steve Kerr won Best Coach of 2015.

  • 07/13/2015

The Warriors finally did what everyone expected out of them, trade David Lee and his contract to save money. It is not that the Warriors did not want Lee, but it was a financial decision the team had to make. By trading Lee for forward Gerald Wallace from Boston, the Warriors saved $5 million in contracts, and $5 more million in tax. The team hasnt paid taxes the past few seasons, but next year, their cap is projected at around $95 million (with Wallace’s contract included). The tax limit is set at $82 million, meaning that Golden State will have to pay a hefty price for keeping its team together. One thing though, the Warriors can use the stretch provision on Wallace, and pay his contract over three years. Since the contract was signed after the CBA, Wallace is eligible for the stretch provision, while Lee was not. By stretching the contract, the Warriors will have to pay Wallace $3.4 million next year, a lot less than his $10 million contract. That will save the Warriors a ton of money, and money are important as the team is trying to keep its core together.
