+44 Biography:

Blink-182 is one of the hottest bands in the year 1992 up to 2005. After the band went on indefinite hiatus, Mark Hoppus and co-band member Travis Barker decided to form a new band. The band was named +44. The name +44 was conceived as a reference to the international dialing code for the United Kingdom, where Hoppus and Barker first discussed their plan to make a new album.

On February 8, 2005, the band Blink-182 was announced to have a performance on February 18 at Music for Relief's Concert for South Asia. This concert was made for the benefit of tsunami victims in Asia. However, for some reasons, the band was pulled out of the show. After 4 days, avid fans and critics were shocked from what the band has announced. The band says "We're taking a break and letting everyone be creative on their time off," adding to that "We want to enjoy ourselves and regroup and write a record when it's the right time." The band went on "indefinite hiatus." After a period of two months, Barker and Hoppus announced they were forming a new band, this band was named +44.

Soon after +44 was formed, Barker and Hoppus purchased a studio. According to Hoppus, this move marked a "turning point for +44," as the band started working in that studio exclusively, and was finally able to play live drums and loud guitars and vocals. The band today proves that they can keep up with other famous bands today. With the release of their first album, the band sure will reach the fame that Blink-182 has achieved.

When Your Heart Stops Beating: is the debut album of +44 band, recorded in 2006 and released in the same year on November 13, 2006 in United Kingdom and November 14, 2006 in the United States. Album was released under Interscope Records (American record label owned and operated by Universal Music Group), produced by Jerry Finn (record producer who has worked on albums by popular bands like blink-182, Alkaline Trio, MxPx, Rancid and The Offspring)
