The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert was a 1994 hit in Australia . Based on the story of three drag queens traversing the Australian outback on a bus named Priscilla. On a mission to perform in a drag act at a hotel resort, the three drag queens set out on the near cross-country trip to the resort. Humor is abundant in this rich and moving story as the culture of the drag queens clashes with the aborigine's across Australia .

When Priscilla breaks down in a remote part of Australian, the trio of queens endure much in the way of hate crimes and verbal abuse. The three of them become closely bonded and their friendship develops further.
