The Rolling Stones' rise to fame began in the mid-60's with the release of "Out of Our Hands" which included the hit song "(I can't get no) Satisfaction". Previously the band had released EP's consisting mostly of songs made famous by Bo Diddly, Nat King Cole and Chuck Berry. "Out of Our Hands" firmly established the band in the UK , and although the Rolling Stones were a stark contrast to the Beatles clean cut image, their bluesy style of Rock and Roll still contributed greatly to the "British Invasion" of America .
The Rolling Stones members over the years have included Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Mick Taylor, Bill Wyman and Ron Wood. Brian Jones was an original Rolling Stones member and a boyhood friend of both Jagger and Richards but his drug and alcohol use eventually frayed the friendship and he was forced from the band in 1969. Brian Jones died under questionable circumstances shortly thereafter; found at the bottom of a swimming pool in his own back yard. Recently a man who was a worker at Brian Jones' home during the time of his death confessed to murdering Jones. However the man was on his deathbed, and his confession has only further clouded the mystery of Brian Jones' death.
