He's just having a good time. He'd be at home in the Dominican playing on the streets if he wasn't here -- and he'd be having just as much fun.” He continued, “It would be hard for me to imagine anyone who has a bigger impact on his team than Vlad does. If we were to lose him for any extended period of time, it wouldn't be good for us.” Guerrero, who’s second in the Majors in RBIs with 75, behind Alex Rodriguez, smiled when he was asked, truth or fiction, if he really did lift a ball out of the dirt in Florida while he was with Montreal and launch it out of the Marlins' ballpark. To have a 2.30 ERA in the American League is pretty special.” Lackey is 11-5 with a 2.91 ERA. He started on Saturday, delivering one of the finest performances of his career (no walks, 11 strikeouts) in holding the team of Yankees to one run on three hits in Yankee Stadium. With an inning of perilous but successful relief, to Rodriguez, it was Lackey’s second superb effort in the Bronx this season, but the victory in this 13-inning affair went, Lackey usually throws his between-starts bullpen session on the second day after a start, “so I could throw a couple [innings] if I need to,” he stated, underscoring the importance of winning this game for home-field advantage in the World Series. “It's absolutely something our players think about. I think it's a big deal. It was a big deal for us in '02. We had some things going on in our stadium. It was definitely an advantage to be at home” for Games 6 and 7 of the Series.
