New Orleans Saints Schedule

Established in 1967, it is a little over four decades later that the New Orleans Saints find themselves gearing up for their upcoming 2008 season. Seeing as their 2007 season left them a little less than up to their normal selves with an ending line of 7-9, the Saints definitely have been doing all they can and more to hit this next season running stronger than ever before.

Under the guise of head coach Sean Payton, general manager Mickey Loomis, owners Tom Benson and Rita Benson, and who can forget Gumbo the dog- the Saints dedicated mascot- the New Orleans Saints are ready to Rumbo. They also have added key new players to their 2008 season roster. Hopefully this season will bring them back to the best of times, like the three years of 1991, 2000 and 2006 in which the Saints brought home Division Championships each and every time.

There are many rookies hitting up the field with the best of them, but fear not these rookies may seem like fresh meat but they are definitely all a cut about the best. Running back Hamilton and Olaniyi Sobomehin are among the new breed of the New Orleans Saints to be among the legends such as the already legendary running back Reggie Bush.

Wide receivers Adrian Arrington, Curtis Hamilton and Todd Blythe join the ranks with seniors of their trait such as Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem. Rookie defensive linemen Sedrick Ellis and Marcus Pittman, defensive backs Tracy Porter and David Roach, offensive linemen Carl Nicks and Brian Stamper are all additions that have proven they have what it takes to put on that Saints jersey and make New Orleans and fans everywhere proud.

The Saints will start off their 2008 season at the Louisiana Superdome on September 7 th against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
