SAN DIEGO CHARGERS:
The San Diego Chargers were established in 1960 as a member of the AFL. In 1970 the San Diego Chargers joined the NFL. In the teams history they have won 14 division championships and one conference championships. Though they have yet to win a Super Bowl, the last they played a Super Bowl game was the Super Bowl XXIX in 1994 against the San Francisco 49ers.

In their teams’ history, the San Francisco Chargers have had six players and a coach enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The San Diego Chargers, though 2003 had them tied with three other teams for worst record of the season, ended up with the number one pick in the NFL 2004 Draft, leading them to select Quarterback Eli Manning from the University of Mississippi, as well as trading on Philip Rivers. The Chargers traded Manning before he ever played one game for them for several other players. The San Diego Chargers 2004 season resulted in a 12-4 record, landing them in the playoffs.

In 2005 the Chargers drafted Shawnie Merriman who ended up earning a National Football League Rookie of the Year Award that season. The following year saw the Chargers set an all-time team record with 14 wins. In 2008 the San Diego Chargers They ended up being defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Divisional game 35-24.
