With head coach Jon Gruden, Owner Malcoom Glazer and general manager Bruce Allen all make up the great strength behind the field.

In the off season there was quite a bit of controversy surrounding the Buccaneers and the gossip hear round the water cooler that they would be selected as one of the four teams to play the International Series in London , and to much fan disappointment this was not the case. In good gossip news that turned out to be true that Gruden and Allan were both signed on to the Buccaneers throughout 2011.

Through free agency the Buccaneers gained the strength of running back Michael Bennett, defensive end Kevin Carter, line backer Antoine Cash, cornerback Sammy Davis and tight end Jerramy Stevens. Losses the Buccaneers saw at the end of their 2007 season are that of linebacker Brian Kelly, center John Wade, guard Matt Lehr, tight end Anthony Becht, safety Kalvin Pearson and quarterback Bruce Gradkowski who was cut before the season had ended.

When it came to the 2008 NFL Draft picks, the Buccaneers sure did get all that and then some. Snatched up in the first round was the talent of corner back Aqib Talib from Kansas, wide receiver Dexter Jackson from Appalachian State, offensive linesman Jeremy Zuttah from Rutgers, defensive tackle Dre Moore from Maryland, quarterback Josh Johnson from San Diego, linebacker Geno Hayes coming from Florida State and running back Cory Boyd from South Carolina. They all make up the list of A-team rookies the Tampa Bay Buccaneers proudly invited to dawn the pewter, black, orange, white and Buccaneer Red jersey.

On Sunday, September 7 th the Buccaneers will begin their 2008 season at the Louisiana Superdome against the New Orleans Saints.
