Straight No Chaser was founded in 1996 out of Indiana University . The original founding group consisted of ten members. It is an a capella group that made its debut with a thirty-six hour dance off at the University. After a long break, the group reunited in 2006, releasing a 1998 recording of “The 12 Days of Christmas” that has so far reached fourteen million hits on YouTube. Since then Straight No Chaser has released three albums under Atlantic Records and have reached as high as twenty-ninth on US Charts.
