Verizon Wireless Amphitheater: A Brief History and Background

The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater is officially known as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre Los Angeles. But, un-true to its name, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater resides in Irvine , in Orange County . With a seating capacity of 16,000, those planning on purchasing tickets should grab them early, as 10,000 of those seats are considered reserve, and the rest are out on the lawn.

The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater is currently owned by the Irvine Company. Unfortunately, fans and the Pacific Orchestra, which has made the amphitheatre its summer home since 1987, have less than a decade to enjoy the musical sound quality of the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater because after the Irvine Centers lease is up in 2017, they are expected to replace it with residential housing.

But let's not fret the end of a great venue era just yet. The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre is booked yearly and is always expecting great artists to grace its stage.
