Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Seating Chart
There are two theaters in the Plaza; the Fred Kavli Theatre and the Jay and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre.
The Fred Kavli Theatre seats 1,800 people and is broken up into four tiers as well as side boxes. It is used mostly for performing arts.
The Jay and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre can be arranged into either thrust or proscenium style seating arrangements, with a seating capacity range of 278 to 394.

Fred Kavli Theater Parking:
Parking is $8 per entry when attending an event. The Civic Arts Plaza provides a 6-story, 730-space parking structure directly adjacent to the Plaza, with an additional 50 spaces outdoors.
For the Fred Kavli Theater: Take the parking garage elevator to Level 3
For the Jay and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre: Take the parking garage elevator to Level 3 first, then take a Plaza elevator down to Level 2.

Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Center Background and History:

The Civic Arts Plaza was a 1994 addition to Thousand Oaks with the intention of broadening Thousand Oaks theatrical and performing arts scope. At a cost of $63.8 million, the Plaza contains two theatres; the Fred Kavli Theatre and the Jay and Ray Scherr Theatre, as well as a 4-acre Plaza Park and another 10,000 feet of outdoor plazas. It is a bustling entertainment center full of good shopping, food, and fun.

It sits on the location of the previous Jungleland, Thousand Oaks ' 1968 version of Disneyland or Knott's Berry Farm. Today the Civic Arts Plaza has a focus on natural colors and a rich variety of textures, making for a very organic and yet highly technical feel. Architects Antoine Predock of the Dworsky Associates incorporated an enormous pictograph of a constellation constructed with Lucite rods and windows in the shapes of a condor wing and snakes that honor the passion for animals that served as the foundation for Jungleland. A stunning copper curtain made of more than 2,000 pieces decorates the Fred Kavli Theatre, as well as Italian granite and beautiful Ipir wood paneling.

Indian sandstone covers end-to-end the walls of the Forum Theatre, while more than 8,000 bricks are laid out in the courtyard. To complement the lovely array of materials, 249 trees and more than 9,000 shrubs were planted in the Fred Kavli Theatre . The result is picturesque and serene.
