About Pink
Alecia Moore, better known to her fans as Pink, has had a bumpy ride on the road to fame. She started her professional singing career as a member of a girl band called "Choice." Her career has skyrocketed since the release of her 2000 album entitled "Can't Take Me Home." This album went double platinum in the United States and was the album that launched her into the celebrity she is today.

After the success of her first album, Pink made the decision that she wanted her second album to feel a little more personal. Even though her record label wasn't pleased with this, she went on to write songs for that second album that reflected the pains she had endured throughout her life. Much turmoil in her personal life temporarily put her career on hold as she went through a painful divorce after trying counseling to fix her broken marriage. After a long and hard road, she and her husband found their way back to each other and she became pregnant with their daughter, Willow Sage.

Having gotten past her own personal turmoil, Pink went on to make the 2010 list of Forbes top earning celebrities. She placed number 27 on the list, with $44 million in earnings that year alone. The very next year she also made the Forbes list of Top Earning Women In Music. She is number six on the list with $22 million in earnings for the year.

Pink has defied the stereotypical image of the angst ridden rock star and carved out an extremely successful career for herself, despite being surrounded by controversy throughout her life. By: Chris Michaels
