Caifanes Information:
Caifanes is a prominent Latin American alternative rock community. The Spanish language band was formed in Mexico city in 1986 and achieved far-reaching fames through the 80s and 90s. Saul Hernadez (vocals and guitar), Diego Herrera (keyboard and sax), Alfonso Andre (drums) and Sabo Romo (bass guitar) were the original lineup. Alejandro Marcovich who joined later in 1989 is an Argentine guitarist.
Caifanes through the years The first show of Caifanes in 1987 was filled to capacity with many fans left outside. Their dark, brooding sounds found quite a fan following and the band's popularity surged throughout Mexico. But not all music executives of the time were taken by the dark depths of Caifanes. A CBS Mexico executive reportedly told the band that they were in the business of selling records, not coffins.
But the wave of “Rock in Your Language” was too huge for record labels to ignore and forced them to give a chance to the new Mexcan bands. Producer Oscar Lopez loved Caifanes and went on to produce their first two albums. Their debut sold 300,000 copies immediately and produced a hit single, “Mátenme Porque Me Muero” ("Kill Me Because I'm Dying") in Mexico city. “La Negra Tomasa,” (The Black Woman Tomasa) was an enormous hit in Mexico and spread the word about Caifanes to a larger audience nationally and internationally.
In 1994, Caifanes reached the peak of their popularity. They sold out large stadiums throughout Mexico, all of Latin America and the US. But in 1995, the group broke up because of the strained relationship between Hernandez and Marcovich. They group reunited in 2010 after both settled their differences.

The Honda Center is an indoor arena in Anaheim, California. It is also known as The Pond or The Ponda because it is home to the Anaheim Ducks.
The arena has hosted a number of events ever since it opened in 1993. For concerts, they have a center stage seating capacity of 18,900 and an end stage capacity of 18,325. The Honda Center has hosted several special events including Barbra Streisand's June 1994 concert, filming site of D2: The Mighty Ducks, Wrestle Mania, Depeche Mode live album recording, UFC, Jonas Brothers 3-D concert movie shooting etc. The arena boasts of the second highest gross ticket sales from special events.

During an event, general concert parking (differs than other types of events) is $20 and preferred concert parking is $25. RV's and buses must pay $30 and limo's must pay $40. There are 6 parking lots for the Honda Center.
• Lot 1 is on the SE corner of Katella and Douglass, directly South of the Honda Center, and can be accessed using Gate 1, located on Katella East of Douglass.
• Lot 2 is adjacent to the Honda Center, in between lots 1 and 4, and can be accessed using either of their gates.
• Lot 3 is located directly North of the Honda Center off of Douglass and must be accessed using Gate 3, also off of
Douglass
• Lot 4 is North of Lot 2 and can be accessed through Gate 4 via the Auto Center / Phoenix Club
• Lot 5 is on the SW corner of Katella and Douglass and Gate 5 is off of Douglass
• Lot 6 is the Katella Lot and is directly across the street from Lot 1. Gate 6 is accessible on the South side of Katella, just East of Douglass
