From the Santa Ana 5 Freeway Northbound:
- Turn onto the Hollywood 101 Freeway North.
- Merge onto the 110/ Harbor Fwy, staying in the extreme right lane
- Exit Grand Ave , turn Right on Grand Ave.
- Proceed one block. Ahmanson Theater Parking is on the right, under the Music Center, just past Temple St .
From the Golden State 5 Freeway Southbound:
- Turn onto the110 Freeway South.
- On the 110 get over to the left lane as soon as you can.
- Exit Hill St .
- Continue straight eight blocks on Hill, turn right on Temple St .
- Proceed one long block to Grand Ave. Turn left.
- Ahmanson Theatre parking is on the right, under the Music Center .

As one of four venues that encompass the Los Angeles Music Center , the Los Angeles Ahmanson Theatre has been host to the most prestigious concerts and entertainment events in Los Angeles since its commencement April 12, 1967. In 1962 Robert H. Ahmanson had a vision of a theater with vibrating sound quality and luxurious décor. Thanks to his generosity and diligence, the Ahmanson Theater manifested just nine years later with the opening of Stately Mansions, starring Hollywood great Ingrid Bergman.
The Ahmanson Theatre is a venue every theatre buff should visit at least once. Of all the Los Angeles venues to choose from, it has remained truest to its diehard theatrical roots. As a Pulitzer Prize winner, more than a dozen Tony awards and LA Stage Alliance Ovation awards, Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards, Drama-Logue Awards, and Back Stage West Garland awards, the Ahmanson Theatre has proven itself in the toughest of crowds.
In 1994, the seating capacity was expanded to accommodate 2,100 guests. It's 'season' begins each year in the beginning of fall and runs through the end of summer. So popular are its shows, the Ahmanson has the highest amount of season-ticket purchasers on all the West Coast.
The theatre also plays an interactive role with the community as well, with educational youth programs such as P.L.A.Y; the Ahmanson Theatre's Performing for Los Angeles Youth.
When visiting, guests are spared no expense in the accommodations available. With more than 60,000 season Ahmanson Theatre ticket holders, patrons are granted the convenience of loaning their season tickets to friends, trading seats with other ticket holders, donating their unused seats back to the theater, and much more. For certain types of shows, the Ahmanson Theatre seating is expanded to add seats to the front aisle or over the orchestra pit. They even provide armless chairs on special requests for larger guests.
Another perk of the Ahmanson Theater are their Target Family Performances, where you and your entire family can attend kid-friendly shows and attend post-show events.
No matter what your entertainment interests may be, whether comedy, drama, or musicals, the Ahmanson Theatre puts on shows each year that satiate every palate.
