Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves match up is one of the best games played this season. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves are two of the teams today who are elite and competitive. These two teams, together with their star players, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett, are considered to be one of the most watched teams in The NBA. Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves are both part of the teams that comprise the Western Conference in the NBA. Though these two teams are not known to be long time rivals, star players Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett have started their rivalry since the time they entered the NBA. These players are two of the outstanding players today. Kevin Garnett entered the NBA in the year 1995 as the 5th overall draft pick for the team Minnesota Timberwolves. Kevin Garnett, better known by his pen names as KG, The Big Ticket, and The Kid, started his early years as a bench player. However, when Garnett moved to the starting lineup in the middle of his first season, Minnesota Timberwolves boosted up their game play and finished the Midwest Division as a 5th placer. Kevin Garnett, since then, became the ace player of the team. Today Kevin Garnett has already established himself as one of the greatest forward in the NBA. He has won many awards such as NBA All-Star Game MVP (2003), NBA Most Valuable Player (2004), First player in NBA history to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists per season for 6 consecutive seasons, and many more.  In the year 1996, The Black Mamba, or known to many as Kobe Bryant, entered the NBA as the13th overall draft pick for the team Charlotte Hornets. In his early years, Kobe Bryant impressed many NBA critics, including the Los Angeles Lakers' general manager, Jerry West. He traded his long time star center Vlade Divac for Kobe Bryant. In his first season as Lakers, Kobe Bryant mostly came into the game as a substitute to the Lakers' current star players Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel. However, when Kobe won the NBA Slam Dunk Competition in the year 1997, his career boosted up making him one of the high-flyers in the NBA. Soon after, Kobe Bryant became crowd favorite and started to gain confidence. In the following years, Kobe Bryant together with Coach Phil Jackson and former Los Angeles Lakers' star center Shaquille O'Neal led his team to three consecutive NBA championships that took place in the year 1999 up to 2002. Kobe Bryant, like Kevin Garnett today, is considered as one of the greatest guards in the NBA. Kobe Bryant has won many award such as Naismith Prep Player of the Year (1996), NBA All-Star Game MVP (2002), NBA Slam Dunk Champion (1997), 2nd highest single-game point total in NBA history (next to Wilt Chamberlain), and many more. During the last match-up between Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers won over Minnesota Timberwolves, ending the game with 111-94 final score. The exciting game was held in Minnesota Timberwolves' home court, Target Center, located at 600 First Avenue North Minneapolis, MN 55403.

As stated above Los Angeles Lakers won against Minnesota Timberwolves. Kobe Bryant led his team making 24 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Andrew Bynum also helped the team by making an outstanding 9 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 7 points. Jordan Farmar, the UCLA Bruins' past star player, also proved that he has a shot to become one of the best guards of Lakers. He contributed to the game a fascinating 9 assists that gave the team a chance to surpass the skills of Minnesota Timberwolves. On the other hand, even when Minnesota Timberwolves lost the game, star player Kevin Garnett made an outstanding statistics of 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. The other player who helped Kevin Garnett in the game is Ricky Davis. Minnesota Timberwolves' guard/forward Ricky Davis also made 22 points. However, even if they tried their best, Los Angeles Lakers still won the game. During the first 3 quarters of the game, Kevin Garnett went on a head-to-head action with Kobe Bryant. The game turned out to be a duel between the two star players of both teams, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett.  However, on the 4rth quarter, Kevin Garnett lost his momentum and Los Angeles Lakers finds perfect chance to triumph over Minnesota Timberwolves. The game was very exciting. Fans who have watched the game expected to see the same action in their next match up. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves will surely become one of the hottest games worth watching.
