History of Orlando Magic
The franchise of Orlando Magic began in the 1989 to 1990 season. By 1992, Shaquille O’ Neal was drafted as the team’s center. With Pat Williams, the General Manager of 76ers sold Orlando Magic T-shirts, caps and other items and convinced locals to make one hundred dollar deposits on ticket reservations to Florida to impress NBA with a show of support from Central Florida.

By the 2000 to 2001 season, due to the absence of Grant Hill who had to undergo a surgery, Doc Rivers as Orlando Magic’s head coach led the team to triumph to a record of 43-39. Doc Rivers encouraged the team to fight for victory with patience, hard work, determination, and sportsmanship. From 2000 to 2004, Tracy McGrady, also known as T-Mac, led the Orlando Magic team in scoring. During that time, his former team, Toronto Raptors, made a sign-and-trade deal that sent T-Mac to Orlando Magic in exchange for an initial round draft pick. Tracy McGrady received the NBA Most Improved Player Award, NBA All-Star, All-NBA and NBA scoring champion.
