Tom Petty and the Heatbreakers are going on tour
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are bringing back their iconic sound this summer. The band hasn't released an album since 2010. The band's huge fan base is eagerly awaiting the release of the new album on July of this year.

The band will also be touring again later this year. The tour will start on August 3rd in San Diego and will make thirty stops around the country ending on Los Angeles on October 10th. With Steve Winwood opening for the kick-off of the tour in San Diego, tickets are sure to sell quickly. Couple that with the fact that fans have been waiting a long time to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in concert once again, and it is predicted they will play for sold out crowds all over the United States and Canada.

The band states that this new album is reminiscent of their 60s straight forward rock style, but also that their style is a bit eclectic and, according to keyboardist Benmont Tench, it just "sounds like the Hearbreakers" to him. He mentions various sounds the band has had over their storied career, and states that they enjoy playing all types of music. Diehard fans, though, will definitely find this album true to the Heartbreakers roots. -Barry's Tickets
