They limit the copies to 1000 copies whereas by the 7th of May, 1000 copies were produced and were released in United States. The full length album of The Raconteurs, Broken Boy Soldiers, was released by the 16th of May, 2006 in United States and by the 15th of May, 2006 in the United Kingdom. The album was released under Third Man Recordings/V2 Records in the United States. Broken Boy Soldiers gained favorable reviews and reached number 7 in US charts as well as number 2 in UK charts.
The Raconteurs discovered in Australia that a band of Queensland was using the band name Raconteurs; the band was forced to rename themselves as The Saboteurs. The Queensland band refused to give up their name for the amount they were offered and tried to extract a higher price from the Raconteurs record company. One of the members of the Queensland band has said that they had not been informed of who was trying to buy their band’s name and asked for the larger total of money to see what would happen. But as a result the band of Raconteurs decided to replace their name with The Saboteurs for the Australian market.
