When they got together back in the early 70's, the Eagles came roaring from Los Angeles, and consisted of Glenn Frey on vocals, guitar, keyboards, synthesizers and harmonica, Don Henley on vocals, drums, percussion, guitar and synthesizer, Bernie Leadon on vocals, guitar, banjo and mandolin, as well as Randy Meisner on vocals, bass and guitar. Through out the decades, the eagles have seem many members come and go, but they have always stayed strong and true to their original sound with their eclectic instrument choices. Currently, the Eagles consist of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit.
As well as their lengthy list of critically acclaimed and chart topping album releases, the Eagles have come to hold a list of awards that would make any rock band envious and want to strive to attain. With six Grammy awards under their belt from Best Pop Vocals Performance by a Duo, Group of Chorus for "Lyin' Eyes" in 1975 on over to their latest Grammy award win in 2009 for Best Pop Instrumental Performance, "I Dreamed There Was No War", the Eagles definitely have cemented their historical part in country and alternative rock history.
Even after six Grammy's, the Eagles went on to achieve even more music history success in 1998 when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, followed by the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001. There is definitely no stopping the Eagles and all of their popularity and success they have come to attain, and rightfully so.
It is no surprise that the first small talk of an Eagles 2009 concert tour created buzz all over the world, with fans everywhere perking their ears and checking daily to get new information on the events and dates. Now, it is set in stone and the eagles will be kicking off their live 2009 concert tour at the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Canada on March 7 th , followed by a performance at the Credit Union Centre- Saskatchewan Place in Saskatoon, Canada on the 8 th , 10 th and 11 th . On March 13 th , the Eagles will head on over to the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Canada, followed by the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota on the 15 th .
Columbia, Missouri will see the eagles at the Mizzou Sports Arena on March 17 th , followed by the I Wireless Center in Moline, Illinois on the 18 th . After that, the Eagles will head on all over the globe and then wind things up with a band at the Palacio De Deportes in Madrid, Spain on July 21 st .
