Martin Nievera was inspired by his father's talent and success in the music industry, as he was a member of S.O.S. (A Society of Seven). He moved back to his homestead of the Philippines in 1982 to starts working on his own singing career. June 1982 brought about his first release, Martin.Take One . It reached platinum in only five months and then Martin began to co-host the TV series Penthouse Live! along with Pops Fernandez who was the Philippines ' own "Concert Queen". Later on the two would end up marrying each other.
In 1984, Martin Nievera came out with his second album release The Best Gift , and after that there was no stopping him. Martin in 1985, Miracle in 1987, Dream in 1989, A New Start in 1991, Roads in 1994, Journeys in 1997, Forever in 1999, Forever Forever in 2000, Return to Forever in 2001, Chasing Time in 2002, More Souvenirs in 2002 , My Souvenirs in 2002, Chasing Time Vol. 2 in 2003, Unforgettable in 2004, When Love is Gone in 2005, Milestones inn 2007, and not to mention his endless list of compilation albums all rack up there on his discography list that has no end in sight.
Along with his long list of solo albums, Martin Nievera has done quite a bit of collaboration album work such as Gold Ito! With Dyna Music in 1982, 6 th Metro Manilia Popular Song Festival by Infinity Music and Sony BMG Music Philippines in 2001, Only Selfless Love 2 by Universal Records in 2003, many more in between, and Christmas Memories being the latest release by Viva Records this 2008.
Martin Nievera definitely knows how to get fans wanting more and more until they just don't know what else there is, and then he brings out the unknown. Currently, Martin Nievera is living in Las Vegas , Nevada with Katrina Ojedu and their son Santino who was born on October 23, 2006 in Las Vegas . 2007 brought about his 25 th anniversary concert that he performed at the Captain's Bar of the Mandarin Hotel in Makati .
