Is it time for a world tour from the legendary Led Zeppelin? Guitarist Jimmy Page says he's ready to take Led Zeppelin on tour. Fans are thrilled and are desperate for the band to take to the stage and deliver all of the favorites. So what is the debate? It appears that it is tentatively moving forward, but the dates are still very iffy.

Add to that earlier Robert Plant said there would be no Led Zeppelin tour - or at least, he's not planning on one. "Not for me but I can't speak for anyone else," he told the UK Daily Express in September of last year.

But Page revealed the scenario of how it might just happen over the weekend, according to Reuters, saying that the legendary band's one-off, strongly received December reunion gig in London, which sparked rumors of a world tour, was likely a precursor to more shows.

"I can assure you the amount of work that we put into the O2 [concert], for ourselves rehearsing and the staging of it, was probably what you put into a world tour," Page said, adding that more shows are off for the moment because of singer Robert Plant's commitments to touring with bluegrass star Alison Krauss in support of their Grammy-nominated joint album, Raising Sand.

He also addressed the trouble with Plant's schedule. "Robert Plant also [has] a parallel project running, and he's really busy with that project, certainly until September, so I can't give you any news," Page added.

The band's three surviving members - Page, singer Robert Plant and bassist-keyboardist John Paul Jones - were joined at the sold-out benefit show at the O2 Arena by the late John Bonham's son Jason on drums last month at a one-night reunion concert in London.
