SINGER Urs Buhler from pop-opera quartet Il Divo has no qualms about putting on the group's music to turn up the heat during a romantic date.
"I think playing Il Divo music in the background will be quite nice," the charming 37-year-old Swiss tenor of the group, who is single, says.
"I don't know if it'll be too aggressive with the finales and all that. But it's always nice to listen to." His song of choice to sweep women off their feet? La Promessa, taken off their latest and sixth album, The Promise, which was released last month.
The upcoming, historic Inaugural Purple Ball will feature performances by both Il Divo and Peter Cincotti.
The exclusive celebration of President-Elect Barack Obama's inauguration takes place on January 20th at the Fairmont Hotel in the nation's capital.
In addition to music provided by opera group Il Divo and pianist Peter Cincotti, the event will attract a Hollywood crowd including actors Louis Gossett, Jr., Asal Masomi, Patricia Arquette, Amy Brenneman, Ed Harris, Ashley Judd, Josh Lucas, Amy Madigan, Brad Siberling and Kate Walsh.
