Hot Chip Biography:
Hot Chip is a famous British band that hails from London. The band became famous in the music industry since the release of their 2000 debut album in Mexico. The band members consist of five talented performer namely Alexis Taylor (vocals, keyboards), Joe Goddard (vocals, synthesizer, percussion), Al Doyle (guitar, synthesizer, vocals), Owen Clarke (synthesizer, guitar), and Felix Martin (drum machines). | |

The band began when Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard met during secondary school. The two became close friends and started to play music together. They started to make music at the age of 17. Alexis Taylor wrote lyrics of songs even during traveling hours. While Alexis Taylor is deeply influenced by Prince (a popular and influential American musician), Joe Goddard on the other Hand grew up listening to hip-hop music. Joe Goddard also composed several lyrics for Hot Chip. When the two met fellow band mates, Hot Chip band was born.
The band today is very famous. The release of their second album will surely make its listener feel like "LOVE, COLOURS, LOSS, and WARNINGS." Hot Chip has made quite a leap with their album "The Warning."
Coming On Strong: the band’s debut album, released on May 24, 2004 in UK under Moshi Moshi Records (small London-based independent record label) and on November 29, 2005 in United States and Canada under Astralwerks Records (New York based record label which releases primarily electronic music, owned by Virgin Records / EMI), produced by Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, all songs written by Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard.
