Fleetwood Mac was founded with four initial members in 1967. Currently John McVie and Mick Fleetwood are the only two original personnel remaining. Throughout the last four plus decades, more than sixteen musicians have shared the honor of being a part of this legendary group.
It all started with former member Peter Green. Green was the replacement for Eric Clapton in a group called John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. Dissatisfied with the line-up, he brought on Mick Fleetwood to replace the Bluesbreakers drummer. It wasn't long before both men initiated their own group. Bringing another fellow Bluesbreaker member along, John McVie, together they recorded their first album with Jeremy Spencer.
Fleetwood Mac has released an additional fifteen albums since that first year, as well as almost sixty singles. Three of their albums have gone to number one, and an additional three have made the top ten. Few bands have ever put out so many albums or singles or with so much success. Now you can see Fleetwood Mac on their 2009 World Tour, which launched in March. Check out our site to find the Fleetwood Mac tickets of your choice and order them today!!
