Born in DeRidder, Louisiana on November 10, 1968, Chris Cagle knew at a young age that he was a talented musician. He started taking piano lessons when he was in high school, but sooner than later he realized that he had eyes for the guitar. So he played that guitar from morning to night, and knew it was what he was made to do.
As Chris Cagle realized what he was made to pursue in life, he dropped out of college and with the help of supportive friends, made the move on out to Nashville, Tennessee where country music dreams come true. For a good five years, Chris Cagle was working many odd jobs around Nashville in restaurants and such, but soon enough he found his big break working for the talent of David Kersh as a songwriter.
It was in 2000 that Chris Cagle released his first studio album, Play It Loud . The albums hit single, "My Love Goes On and On" hit number fifteen on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks, and the single "Laredo" hit Top Ten a year later in 2001.
2003 brought about Chris Cagles' follow up album, self titled Chris Cagle . Along with the first album, it hit gold and out of it came five top singles such as "What a Beautiful Day," "Chicks Dig It," and "I'd Be Dying".
Unfortunately, 2004 did not bring about great news for Chris Cagle as he was diagnosed with multiple anomalies in is vocal cords that forced him to take a long break to recover properly. Chris took it very seriously, and with much rest and recovery he was back at it and stronger than ever when he released his third album in 2005, Anywhere But Here . It brought in three hit single with "Wal-Mark Parking Lot", "Anywhere But Here", and the greatest album hit "Miss Me Baby" hitting number twelve on the country music charts.
Chris Cagle's latest album release was this year as he recently let out the wonderful work of My Life's Been a Country Song . With the single "What Kinda Gone" hitting number three on the country music charts, this album hit number one on the US Country charts as well.
