Cheetah Girls Biography:
The Cheetah Girls is an American girl group created by Disney Entertainment, and made famous by the Disney Channel Original Movie, The Cheetah Girls.
The Cheetah Girls movie series (and possibly the television series) have had other members besides the 3 girls who sing in the actual group. However, the members below only participate in the movies and television show. They do not sing in the band.
The original movie was the very first musical that The Disney Channel ever produced and premiered in August of 2003. This movie spawned such spin-offs and sequels as The Cheetah Girls TV series, The Cheetah Girls 2 and The Cheetah Girls 3 (See below). It also inspired the girl group consisting of three of The Cheetah Girls in this movie, Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan.
The original four Cheetah Girls, Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryan have returned for the sequel of The Cheetah Girls, titled The Cheetah Girls 2. Filming started in April 2006 and the movie premiered on August 25, 2006.
The Cheetah Girls 3 is the third installment of the series, first mentioned in Disney Insider Magazine, when they asked Kiely Williams about what she wanted the title for the third movie to be. She said that possible titles that had been brought up and the titles she wanted were The Cheetah Girls Down Under (AKA The Cheetah Girls in Australia), The Cheetah Girls Safari (AKA The Cheetah Girls in Africa). Adrienne Bailon said she would like a movie in Puerto Rico because of her Puerto Rican roots. The movie was again mentioned in an artist biography for The Cheetah Girls saying that the movie was under script development and is a rumored theatrical release. Also, in an interview with The Arizona Republic, Adrienne says that if the fans keep supporting them, Disney is talking about a third and fourth movie.
The Cheetah Girls is a television show picked up by in 2003. After four episodes were filmed the show was delayed, because the contract for That's So Raven was renewed. Therefore, Raven would not have been able to film The Cheetah Girls. It was mentioned in an article that if The Cheetah Girls 3 (possible theatrical release/see above) does well, filming on the series will continue. However, Raven has made negative comments on doing another sitcom. If the show does go on though many rumors have circulated that Galleria will move away to Spain to further her mother's career in fashion design and Belinda Peregrin's character Marisol or a new Cheetah played by 3LW's Jessica Benson will replace her in the show and new movie. However nothing has confirmed this.
