Born in Glen Dale, West Virginia on October 28 th , 1972, Brad Douglas Paisley has been quoted as saying that he was bestowed his love of country music from the guidance and wisdom of the person who gave him his first guitar when he was eight years old as well as taught him how to play, his grandfather, Warren Jarvis. It didn't take long for Brad Paisley to realize that this was his calling, and by the age of twelve he was writing his own songs. It was at the age of thirteen that Brad Paisley got his big break onto the country music scene as he started opening for hits such as The Judds, Ricky Skaggs and George Jones at the Capital Music Hall in the country loving town of Wheeling , West Virginia .
After Brad Paisley graduated from John Marshall High School , he went on over to West Liberty State School for a bit and then was awarded a full-paid ASCAP scholarship to attend Belmont University in Nashville , Tennessee . It was at Belmont that Paisley met some rather important connections he would be happy to have found later on in his career. These were the likes of Frank Rogers, whom went on to become Brad Paisley's producer, as well as Kelley Lovelace who turned into his songwriting partner in sweet rhythmic rhyme. Soon after Paisley graduated from Belmont , he was signed with EMI Music Publishing as a songwriter and he came quickly with the top five hit "Another You" performed by David Kersh, as well as "Watching My Baby Not Come Back" performed by David Ball in 1999.
Brad Paisley decided it was time to come out into the world as a solo singer, and he did the same year with Arista Nashville and his release of "Who Needs Pictures" on February 22, 1999. Near the end of 1999, Brad Paisley came out with the single "He Didn't Have to Be", and that was it for Brad Paisley, he could do no wrong. The song hit number one and country music lovers everywhere fell in love. It was not too later on after in 2000 that Paisley won a Country Music Association Horizon Award for best new male vocalist, and in 2001 he was nominated for his first Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
Everything Brad Paisley touches turns to gold, and there is no doubt that extends on over to his live performances that can give a die hard fan shivers and leave one speechless for weeks. Stay in the know with all ticket information as it becomes available for your seats to see Brad Paisley live and in concert this 2009.
