Who Will The Clippers Face In First Round Of Playoffs

LA Clippers Playoff Tickets

Lob City

The Los Angeles Clippers are going all the way towards a strong championship run this season. The team currently is within the chase of a better seed in the West, which will increase its chances to win the title in the conference and head to the NBA Finals for the first time in its franchise history. Let’s see which the potential opponents for the Clips are in the first round of the playoffs.

Doc Rivers’s group currently stands at the fourth seed of the Western Conference. The truth is that it has been stuck there for quite some time. In fact, the Clippers will most probably fight till the end with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Houston Rockets for the seeds three to five. LA is 4.5 games behind the conference-leaders, Oklahoma City Thunder. We are just 20 games before the end of the regular season and the truth is that things could. However, it’s almost clear which will be the teams that will make it to the playoffs, with only the eighth spot still being a mystery.

Thanks to the recent additions of Glen Davis and Danny Granger, which fill the exact holes the Clippers had in their team, Chris Paul and Co. are expected to record an even better course till the end of the season, in comparison to their record up to now. It’s significant that the Clips have managed to stay at the fourth seed during the time CP3 was out with an injury.

Clippers Blazers Playoff Tickets

Clips VS Blazers

The Clippers could also meet the Trail Blazers in the first round. This will happen if the two teams finish at the fourth and fifth spots. Although the Blazers started the season red hot, leading the Western Conference for some stretches of the season, they have now fallen to the fifth spot. This will be a very difficult matchup for the Clips, but they still have the best odds to eliminate Portland in the playoffs.

So one potential opponent for the Clippers is the Golden State Warriors. This will be a tough matchup for the Clips, since the Dubs are a very dangerous opponent. The Warriors have won two out of their three meetings up to now in the season against the Clips. Due to their ups and downs, it’s still unclear where the Warriors will end up ranking at the end of the season. However, they are for sure a potential opponent for the Clips in the first round.

LA Clippers Staples Center

Clipper Nation

A Houston Rockets Clippers is a potential first round match up as well. The Rockets have climbed to the third seed in the West, but they could fall again to the fifth in no time. This will be the first playoff appearance for Houston with Dwight Howard onboard so it’s still uncertain how the team will perform. The Clips should be able to roll past them in a seven-game stretch.

Can The Lakers Return To Glory

Lakers Tickets for all games

LAKESHOW

No, we’ll not be talking about the Gerard Butler movie here, although there are some similarities. What we’ll be talking about is the Ugly Truth the entire Los Angeles Lakers nation is currently facing. Even those who didn’t want to admit the severity of the bad – I mean really bad – situation the team is currently in, they got slapped in the face after the humiliating loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

In a season where the Los Angeles Lakers were expected to make the playoffs or at least stay within the playoff race, they recorded the worst loss in their franchise history since 1947, the year the team was founded. That’s 67 years ago. And the most hurtful fact that this devastating 48-point loss came inside the Staples Center, against the Lakers’ city-rivals, Los Angeles Clippers, in a game which lots of Lakers fans had the bad luck to attend to.

The General Manager of the Lakers, Mitch Kupchak, watched the entire game from inside the arena and the look on his face said it all. Many times the camera caught his reactions, as the Clips routed their opponents piece by piece. If I were the General Manager of the team, I would have fired the Head Coach already. Maybe I would have fired myself, too, all the players, the front office team, the secretary and those guys distributing Lakers’ flyers outside the Staples Center. Yes I know, I am being excessive, but come on. I am not a fan of destructive solutions but if you are a Lakers fan, you have to look reality into the eye.

What do the Lakers have?

A 35-year old superstar, in Kobe Bryant, who has stayed out in all but six games since last April. You also have a 40-year old Steve Nash, who is in the books for $9.7 million next season, when he will be, oh my god, are you ready for this, 41 freaking years old. And he might not be able to dress up in a single game. Just for your note, the payroll of the entire Lakers team this season is around $77 million. You have a fading – or already faded – star in Pau Gasol, whose contract is expiring this summer.

Thankfully, the team has a first-round pick in the upcoming draft, which includes a bunch of potential superstars, as reported, but they don’t have a second-round one. For 2015, the Lakers will have their first-round pick, if it within the top 5 spots, but if it’s not, it will go to the Phoenix Suns. In addition, the Lakers have a bunch of youngsters or role players in their roster, most of them newcomers.

Literally, those players have zero chances to turn things around, not even next season.
Finally, the worst thing of all might be the fact that the team has no plan for the future. Even if Kobe gets back healthy next season, the team has low to zero chances of adding another superstar, one that can change the course of the franchise.

So what the Ugly Truth for the Lakers is exactly this, the situation the team is into, the hole they have fallen into and up to now, they don’t seem to be able to find a way out. Thankfully, the season is closing to its end, about one month is left. Then the Lakers will have the time to sit back, ease off the pain and try to find a (magical) solution.Chris Michaels

Rent In Lob City Actually Higher Then LA For The First Time

Lob City LA Clippers

Lob City

Which came first the Sport or the Team? You love basketball and you love the Lakers, Clippers, Bulls, Thunder or whoever but which was your first love? So which came first your love of basketball the game itself or the love of a team that got you into the sport basketball?

For years now I have offered friends, family, strangers Clippers Tickets as an inexpensive way to watch a pro basketball game even if for years they were treated like a junior college team play against one of the other NBA’s finest and for years I always got the same response “umm do you have any free Lakers Tickets”? If the Lakers were playing the Bucks and the Clippers were playing the Michael Jordon, Lebron, Kevin Durante and maybe the Lord himself 99 out of 100 friends and family would still take the Lakers. So it has to be about the TEAM itself right and not about the love of the game.

Los Angeles Clippers

Chris Deandre Blake

The truth is that history in sports has its own gravity, its special weight. No matter if a team is struggling during a season, like the Los Angeles Lakers are, the name of the franchise and its history in the league are enough to keep the team’s value at high levels. Nonetheless, this season we are witnessing a radical change in the balance between the two LA teams.

In fact, the Los Angeles Clippers can be characterized as the better product for the city of LA at the moment. They are the ones selling more, they are the ones that almost any fan in LA but also around the globe wants to watch. On the contrary, the Lakers are dead last in the West, they are playing awful basketball, they are lacking their superstar, Kobe Bryant and if we had to characterize them with one word, that one would be “decomposed”.

Blake Griffin LA Clippers Super Star

Griffin

It’s no secret that the Clippers are one of the most spectacular teams in the NBA, if not the most spectacular one. With Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan conquering the air and with Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford adding to the Clips’ stardom, Doc Rivers’s group is one of the hottest teams around the league. After their recent acquisitions, the Clippers are now considered to be one of the two strongest favorites for the title in the West, together with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

On the contrary, Lakers fans have all the rights to feel disappointed with their product. It’s not just about their awful record and not just about the fact that Kobe Bryant has missed all but six games this season. The Lakers seem like they have no plan, neither for this season nor for the next one. Lacking a bunch of draft picks over the next couple of years, the team is forced to carry the burden of the contract of the 40-year old Steve Nash, who is doubtful to ever be able to play the game again.

Chris Paul & Blake Griffin

CP3 & Griffin

All the above translate into a change in the “product value” for each team. On the one hand, the Clips are on the rise. On the other hand, a legendary team like the Lakers is tanking badly. Taking a look at the pricing of the tickets of each team in a game against the same opponent, the difference is obvious. The

Although face value of Lakers tickets is significantly higher then that of the Clippers the retail value has always reflected the same pricing until this year the Clippers retail Ticket prices for a game like Clippers Vs Thunder Tickets are just passed double the price of Lakers Vs Thunder Tickets. This is pretty much the first time in the history of the Clippers that their retail prices are higher then the Lakers.

Playoff Preview Between Clippers and Warriors

Warriors Vs Clippers Tickets

Warriors Vs Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers will host the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, March 12. The game is projected to be spectacular and really fun to watch. The Clippers are one of the best in the NBA when it comes to providing moments of joy to the home crowd, thanks to the highflying from Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. On the other hand, the Warriors have the best shooting duo in the league, in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and if they start firing it up from outside they are really tough to be stopped.

The game will be difficult for either team but it will also be a statement one. The two teams could meet in the playoffs and even during the first round. The Clips currently rank fourth in the Western Conference but thanks to their recent additions and their great outputs, they have the potential to climb even higher. On the other hand, the Dubs currently occupy the sixth spot in the conference and they are projected to finish the regular season somewhere around that spot. This means they could face the Clippers in the first round. That’s why this game is so important.

Clippers Vs Warriors Tickets

Lob City

The Clips will have to make a good job defending their perimeter and also pick and roll situations. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson need just fractions of seconds before they get a shot up and sink it to the basket. The battle between David Lee and Blake Griffin will be an interesting one and a key to the outcome of the game. Griffin is the scoring leader for the Clips this season. If Lee manages to contain him below his season-averages, then the Dubs will greatly increase their chance to escape with a victory.

LA’s latest additions are certainly going to be a factor in this game, too. The Clips will need Danny Granger and Glen Davis to contribute, each one on the sector he’s best at. The Golden State Warriors’ reserves have just recently uplifted their performance and the Clips will have to make sure they can match the surge from their opponents. The Clips are expected to have Jamal Crawford back, who stayed out of action in the least two games due to a calf injury. Crawford’s contribution will certainly be a factor in the outcome of the game. The veteran guard is the second-leading scorer for LA this season. Chris Paul is also gradually getting his game back.

LA Clippers Vs Warriors

Griffin

The certainty is that this game will be exciting to watch for all the fans in the arena. As the both teams battle for the battle for top 5 spots in the western conference playoffs, we’ll certainly see some devastating dunks from Griffin and the rest of the highflyers, but we’re also expected to a bunch of threes going down. This will end up being a high-scoring game.

As of today the Clippers are sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference with 5th place Portland Trail Blazers only a half a game back which makes this Clippers Vs Warriors game that much more important as a possible preview of the first round playoffs. Eminem and Rihanna The Monster Coming To Rose Bowl

Eminem Rihanna Tickets Rose Bowl

The Monster Tour

What happens if two of the biggest stars in the music industry team up together for a tour? It will be sheer talent and bringing of joy to the ears and hearts of those who put them in high regard.

Just recently, Rihanna and Eminem announced that they are going to go on tour together, and for obvious reasons, fans are going crazy in booking their tickets early because surely, this will be a concert that will have its tickets sold out way before the day of the concert.

This tour will be named Monster, which is the title of the most recent song collaboration that Rihanna and Eminem did. The tour may have become possible because of the songs as it has been in Billboard’s Hot 100 since December 2013. If you have a song that good to be in at the top spot for a very long time, you have to thank your fans for making it happen because one’s efforts is nothing if the fans do not support.
The Monster Tour is the pair’s way of saying thank you for the fan’s support.

They pair will be touring around the United States in three large cities – Pasadena at the Rose Bowl, New York, and Detroit. The pair is to unleash The Monster tour starting this summer in August, and so far, reports only mentioned the three cities reported earlier.

The Monster Tour: Eminem & Rihanna Tickets: Pasadena Rose Bowl August 7th.
Here is a view of the Rose Bowl set up for the Eminem & Rihanna concert. There will be two General Admission areas on the floor and regular seating in the other areas of the Bowl.

Eminem said that the collaboration for the song Monster is not a sequel or a re-visitation of their previous collaboration entitled “Love the Way You Lie” which also remained on top of the Billboard’s Hot 100 for seven weeks. The collaboration this time was leaning more on the nostalgic feeling of teaming up. The two have showed great chemistry in the songs that they have produced and recorded so far, and the results of that chemistry has been showing in how the public has accepted their songs so far.

The Monster Tour

Eminem also added that the chemistry and the great acceptance of the public to the songs that they release may have come from the public’s perception of the two music icons – they are nuts; crazy. There is some truth behind it. Both had their moments of unpredictability, and join similar personalities together and you have incredible songs that shows who they are.

Their personality shows in the way they sing the song and in the way they project in the music video. You can clearly see that they are into the song.

For the moment, the two are on separate projects with Eminem doing a tour in Australia named Rapture along with Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole; a big ticket as well. Rihanna on the other hand is having another successful collaboration, this time with the Colombian singer Shakira with the song “Can’t Remember to Forget You.”

Lakers Face Durant and Howard This Week

Lakers Tickets Courtside

Lakers Bulls

With Steve Nash and Steve Blake in the fold things might be looking up, at least a little bit, for the Los Angeles Lakers. Nash and Blake returned to the Lakers lineup on Tuesday night in Minnesota, with Nash making his season debut. The depleted Lakers ended up losing Tuesday night at the hands of the Timberwolves, but then went on to win two in a row on the road before losing at home Sunday versus the Chicago Bulls.

Week Recap: Even with the return of Nash and Blake the Lakers continue to be the most snake bit team in the NBA when it comes to losing players. The return of their two point guards coincided with the loss of Nick Young and Jodie Meeks to injury. Wednesday’s night win in Cleveland saw Robert Sacre of the Lakers stay in the game after fouling out, a rarely seen NBA rule, due to the fact the Lakers had just five players left. After already losing Nick Young to injury and Jordan Farmar to leg cramps the Lakers were down to five players after Chris Kaman fouled out. Even with a depleted roster the Lakers hit a season-high 18 three-point shots to defeat the Cavaliers and former Head Coach Mike Brown. Los Angeles continued their winning ways Friday night with a fourteen point defeat of the Philadelphia 76ers behind 19 points from Steve Nash on his 40th birthday. Steve Blake contributed 14 points and 8 assists in the victory. Even without Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol the return of Nash and Blake is a welcome sight for Lakers fans. The Lakers returned home Sunday to face a competitive Chicago Bulls team, losing a tough one, 92-86. Chicago ran out to a nineteen point lead and the Lakers rallied back but couldn’t close the gap in the end, losing despite a season-high 27 points from Chris Kaman. Unfortunately for the Lakers they may have lost Steve Nash again for a short period of time. Nash knocked knees with Kirk Hinrich in the third quarter, causing his knee to flare up once again. He’ll be evaluated and may miss a couple of games.

The Week Ahead: The Lakers have a big home stretch coming up with five games at STAPLES Center over the next two weeks, including two with key Western Conference contenders. Los Angeles kicks off the week Tuesday night when they host the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are coming off of an impressive home victory over the Miami Heat. Thursday night Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder make a visit to STAPLES Center, giving Lakers fans a chance to see the NBA’s leading MVP candidate in action. Following the All Star Break the Lakers return home next week when they face off versus the Houston Rockets in a game that many Lakers fans have had circled on the calendar since last summer. Wednesday will mark the return of former Lakers center Dwight Howard to STAPLES Center. The gifted big man, who had an up and down season in LA last year, has teamed with James Harden to put the Rockets in the fourth playoff position in the west. Lakers Vs Rockets tickets start at just $48 per ticket. The Lakers wrap up the following week by hosting the Boston Celtics on Friday and the New Jersey Nets on Sunday. CP3 Returns To Clippers Lineup

The Los Angeles Clippers had an outstanding finish to the week, welcoming back Chris Paul in the process. After losing to Denver and Miami to start the week the Clippers rebounded with consecutive victories over Toronto and Philadelphia, the latter marking the return of Chris Paul. The Clippers star point guard returned earlier than expected, helping the Clippers blow out the 76ers 123-78.

Blake Griffin has monster Dunks

Blake Griffin

Week Recap: The Clippers kicked off a week with a visit to Denver to take on the Nuggets at Pepsi Center. Blake Griffin had another massive game but the Nuggets pulled out the victory on Randy Foye’s three point shot at the buzzer. Foye’s deep three pointer came just six seconds after Matt Barnes hit a three on the other end of the court to give the Clippers a 115-113 lead. Griffin, playing the best basketball of his career in the absence of Paul had 36 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. Following the tough defeat in Denver the Clippers had the tough task of returning home to STAPLES Center to face Lebron James and the Miami Heat. The NBA was treated to one of its best games of the season as James and Griffin put together tremendous individual performances. The Clippers made a valiant effort to overcome a big Miami third quarter lead, but they couldn’t quite make it all the way back. The story for the Clippers was Griffin who had a season-high 43 points in the loss. It was Miami’s first win at STAPLES Center in six seasons. James had 31 points, 12 assists and 8 rebounds for Miami. It was a tough second consecutive loss for the Clippers, putting them a half a game behind the Houston Rockets for the fourth playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Clippers rebounded from the Miami loss with consecutive victories over Eastern Conference foes, Toronto and Philadelphia. Saturday night Blake Griffin again scored over 30 times, this time with 36, to become the first Clippers player ever to score more than 30 in three straight games. The Clippers momentum continued into Sunday night when they scored an incredible 46 first quarter points en route to easily defeating the 76ers behind another strong performance from Blake Griffin.

LA Clippers Vs Blazers

Clippers Vs Blazers

The Week Ahead: The Clippers have a light schedule heading into next week’s All Star weekend with just one game, an important matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. The Blazers are currently a game and a half on top of the Clippers for the third playoff spot in the west. Los Angeles is a half a game ahead of the Houston Rockets, currently on a five-game winning streak. Following the All Star Break the Clippers return home for a key game versus the San Antonio Spurs before heading off on a three-game road stretch that includes a key game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Over the next two weeks the Clippers will face each of the three teams ahead of them in the Western Conference standings, giving them an opportunity to make up ground. Chris Michaels.

Should The Lakers Keep Kobe Bryant Out For The Season

Kobe Bryant Lakers

Kobe

The latest news about Kobe Bryant and his knee injury state that the Black Mamba will remain sidelined for three more weeks. He will also miss the 2014 All Star Game. Multiple sources point out that Bryant feels internal swelling pain in his knees and that’s why he will have to extend his rehabilitation period. Now the Los Angeles Lakers face a significant question: Should they just keep Kobe out for the remainder of the 2013-2014 campaign?

The Lakers can almost be considered as done for the season. The team currently stands in the second spot of the bottom in the Western Conference, holding a 16-30 record. Due to very high level of competiveness within the conference, it will be almost impossible for the Lakers to overcome the 10-game deficit they have from the eighth-seeded team, which currently is the Dallas Mavericks. But even if they manage to get the ticket for the postseason they won’t go far. If the Lakers finish eighth, they will face the first-seeded team in the West, which will be either the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Portland Trail Blazers or the San Antonio Spurs. And it’s easy for every fan of the team to imagine what the outcome of such a series would be.

Kobe Bryant Los Angeles Lakers

Kobe Bryant

As a matter of fact, if Bryant comes back this season the Lakers won’t see a big difference in their final ranking. Even the Black Mamba’s contribution might not be enough for Mike D’Antoni’s team to bounce back. In addition, the Lakers would also risk Kobe’s health if he is rushed back. The 35-year old Bryant certainly needs some time to fully rehab now that he has the chance.

Allowing Kobe to fully rest for the season seems to be the most rational choice for the Lakers at the moment. The main focus of the team should be the near future, the upcoming season. That’s why they should take their attention off Kobe and start planning their next moves to strengthen their roster, either through trades or significant moves. The Lakers will also have to focus on the upcoming, star-loaded NBA Draft. Then they will have a great opportunity to land potential superstar.

Kobe Bryant LA Lakers

Kobe

Certainly, Kobe Bryant is always a hot topic in LA. Every fan of the team wants to see him dressed up and ready to play when the Lakers are playing in the Staples Center. In fact, Bryant is one of the main reasons many fans support the team. Bryant is a big part of the Lakers franchise at the moment. Nevertheless, if the Lakers think rationally, they will realize that due to the bad situation the team is in at the moment, they will have to find the best way to bounce back quickly.

The team has to undergo significant changes soon. Steve Nash obviously can’t contribute, Pau Gasol is unhappy with the team and the Lakers neither several draft picks nor assets to trade away. Thankfully, as of lately, some young players, like Manny Harris and Kendall Marshall, have started to show promising sings. Now that Kobe is out, they will have a chance to see more playing time, gain experience and be on his side for the next season. Chris Michaels

The LA Kings Arent Playing Like It

Kings Vs Ducks Tickets

Kings Vs Ducks

In a week where they badly needed to pick up some key victories the Los Angeles Kings are mired in perhaps their toughest stretch of the season, going winless over the past week to run their overall losing streak to five games. After losing consecutive road games in Boston and Columbus Los Angeles returned to Sourthern California and were swept in back-to-back games by their LA rivals, the league leading Anaheim Ducks. The second of the back-to-back contests was the much anticipated outdoor game at Dodger Stadium, taken by the Ducks 3-0.

Kings Vs Ducks Tickets

Kings Vs Ducks

Week Recap: Monday night the Kings lost a tough one in Boston to a solid Bruins team. Boston jumped on top 2-0 on first period goals by Brad Marchand and Torey Krug. The Kings fought back to tie the game on goals by Willie Mitchell and Jeff Carter, only to see Marchand score his second goal of the game just 18 seconds after Carter scored to tie the game at 2. The Bruins would hold on to the victory, and the Kings would go on to Columbus for the second half of a back-to-back. The Kings scored the first goal Tuesday night in Columbus on a tally by Dwight King only to see the Blue Jackets score consecutive first period goals by RJ Umberger and Ryan Johansen to go up 2-1. Jeff Carter notched his 20th goal of the season early in the second to tie the game at 2, but the Blue Jackets took control with three consecutive goals to put the game away. Martin Jones had a tough night in goal for the Kings. With three consecutive losses the Kings returned to Southern California for two with Anaheim. The Thursday and Saturday games were a big test and the chance for Los Angeles to make up ground on the NHL leaders. The two games, won by Anaheim via a combined score of 5-1 are an indication of just how strong of a club the Ducks have become. Anaheim is seemingly able to adapt to any opponents style, winning high scoring contests as well as gritty defensive games, like Thursday night at the Honda Center. The Kings were shut out Saturday night by the Ducks Jonas Hiller, putting the Ducks 19 points up on their division rivals.

Los Angeles travels north to face the San Jose Sharks on Monday night, following by an immediate trip to Phoenix to take on the Coyotes on Tuesday night. They then round out the week by finally returning to STAPLES Center to face Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday and the Philadelpia Flyers on Saturday night. Pittsburgh’s trip to Los Angeles will give Kings fans their lone opportunity to see the universally regarded best player in hockey, Sidney Crosby. The Penguins star is on track to win yet another league MVP award this season.

Where they stand: With 64 points the Kings are in sixth place in the Western Conference, five points behind the Colorado Avalanche and twelve points behind the San Jose Sharks.

The Kings face off against the Ducks two more times at the Staples Center once on March 15th and then again on April 12! All Ducks Vs Kings Tickets have no service fees on any ticket. Chris Michaels
