Lakers March Schedule

Lakers March Schedule Top 5 Games

The Lakers March Schedule 2015 will have seven games at Staples Center. LA will be on the road for nine games during the Lakers March Schedule of away games.

With the surgery of Kobe Bryant, it became official Lakers have lost the season. Now, the only thing left to do is to try and secure a top 5 draft pick. In another case, the pick goes to the Phoenix Suns, and the Lakers will lose a valuable asset in their rebuilding project. In March, they will play few games with direct rivals for a higher pick. The trick is that the Lakers must lose those games in order to stay in the play for the pick. At the moment, the Lakers have the 4th worst record in the league which guarantees them a top 5 pick. But they can get “lower” and grab a higher pick.

Knicks @ Lakers, Staples Center, March 12, Starting price $22, Average price $126
After rejecting the Lakers during the offseason, this will be the first time Carmelo will come to LA. The duels between the Knicks and the Lakers were once an epic matchup, but the two of the largest NBA cities have fallen down. And with the Knicks in town, there will be millions of side stories about Phil Jackson, Melo, Derek Fisher and much more.

Lakers @ Warriors Oracle Arena March 16th
Starting price $84 | Average price $151
The score between the teams is 2-1. But the fun part is, the Lakers are probably the only team in the league that have scored 100+ points versus the No.1 defense in the league in every game they’ve played. Los Angeles has no problem scoring versus Golden State, but the problem is how to defend them. At least the fans can enjoy a high scoring game. View Tickets.

Jazz @ Lakers Staples Center March 19th.
Starting price $17 | Average price $59
This will be the last duel of the two teams. There was a time when LA had better record than the Jazz. But they started losing, and the Jazz won few games. Now, the tables are turned. Neither team has a chance to make the playoffs, which means the duels will decide ranking in the draft. The Jazz won the first duel between the two teams in Utah.

Sixers @ Lakers Staples Center, March 22th.
Starting price $19 | Average price $71
The Lakers and Sixers have yet to play this season. But in March, they will play twice, once in Los Angeles and once in Philadelphia. The difference between the teams in the standings is two games, so these duels might decide who gets a higher pick.

Lakers @ Timberwolves Target Center March 25th.
Starting price $10 | Average price $60
With the return of Ricky Rubio to the lineup, and the growth of Andrew Wiggins, the Timberwolves have started to win games here and there. And with Lakers losing like they do, they might overcome the Timberwolves as the worst team in the Western Conference. That won’t be a bad thing, considering the lower the seeding, the higher the draft pick.

LA Clippers March Schedule

Los Angeles Clippers March Schedule 2015

The good news is the Clippers play Minnesota twice in March, and they also play Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Sacramento, all easy winnable games for a playoff team that has aspirations for a title. The bad news is the Clippers play the Warriors twice, Chicago, Washington, Portland, Dallas, Oklahoma, and Houston among others. To put it simply, March will be a challenging month for the Clippers as they try to stabilize their position in the Western rankings. Blake Griffin should be back for half of the games played in March, and the Clippers will have to manage without him for a while. If they win the easy games, and win half of the hard ones versus direct rivals for higher seed, the Clippers might make it up to the 3rd or 4th spot in the West, both of which bring home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

So let’s break down Clippers March Schedule.

Blazers @ Clippers Staples Center March 4th.
Starting price $13 | Average price $65
It is good that the Clippers have beaten the Trail Blazers twice this season, once at home and once on the road. However, for this game, they will have to do it without Griffin, who is scheduled for a comeback somewhere in the middle of March. If they win, the Clippers will make sure they have the tiebreaker with Portland.

Warriors @ Clippers Staples Center March 8th
Starting price $110.00 | Average price $203.00
The home team has won each of the previous two duels, and neither of them was close. The Clippers would love to continue the tradition, at least for this game. The good news is they will have four full days of rest between the Portland and the Golden State Warriors game. If they lose the first game, they will get enough rest to prepare themselves for a battle with the best team in the West. Curry versus CP3 should be a delight to watch. The teams will also play at the end of the month in Oakland.

Clippers @ Thunder Chesapeake Arena March 11th.
Starting price $32 | Average price $122
Last year the Thunder eliminated the Clippers from the playoffs. This year, the first time the Clippers were in town, the Thunder won 131 – 108. Notice a pattern? The Clippers have a hard time winning in Oklahoma City. The Thunder are trying hard to get to the playoffs and secure the 8th seed, and they will show no mercy to teams above them in the rankings.View Tickets

Clippers @ Mavericks American Airlines Center March 13th.
Starting price $38 | Average price $72
The middle of the month is probably the hardest for the Clippers schedule wise. After visiting the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Clippers play in Dallas. They’ve beaten the Mavs in the two games they’ve played this season, but that is even more reasons for them to be prepared, as the Mavs will look to retaliate. View Tickets

Rockets @ Clippers Staples Center March 15th
Starting price $21 | Average price $78
Luckily for the Clippers, for the third hard game in a row they play at home. The Rockets are another team the Clippers have beaten twice this season. The Clippers actually play good versus other Western playoff contenders. Their problem is they lose winnable games versus lower opponents.

Clippers February Schedule

Clippers February Schedule at Staples Center

With a big matchup in Portland versus the Trail Blazers followed by a home date with Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers it was a big week of basketball for the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers split with the Blazers and Cavs. The Clippers defeated the Sacramento Kings to finish 2-1 during the week.

Week Recap: Wednesday night the Clippers made the trip to Portland to face the Trail Blazers, who are currently in second place in the Western Conference behind the Golden State Warriors. Los Angeles prevailed 100-94, earning a big road victory behind a big effort off the bench by Jamal Crawford. The long-time 6th man scored 25 points off the bench, including a big three pointer to give the Clippers the lead for good with 3:55 left. Chris Paul had 23 points with DeAndre Jordan adding 17 points and 18 rebounds. The victory over Portland set up a highly anticipated nationally televised game versus Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night at STAPLES Center. After losing 7 of 8 games with James resting due to multiple injuries, the Cavaliers were in turmoil coming in with many questioning the long term future of first year head coach David Blatt. As he has done so many times before, James had a big effort at STAPLES Center, leading the Cavaliers to a 126-121 victory in a wild game. The Clippers had six players in double figures with Blake Griffin leading the way with 34 points and 19 rebounds. Center DeAndre Jordan added 19 rebounds and 12 rebounds. It was a frustrating loss for the Clippers who gave up a season-high in points versus a Cavs team that had been struggling. The Clippers had very little rest, heading north to Sacramento to face the Kings on Saturday night with just a nights rest. The game was tied at halftime, but the Clippers pulled away with a solid second half. Blake Griffin led five Clippers in scoring with 30 points, with Matt Barnes adding 26, including four three-pointers. Chris Paul, JJ Redick and Jamal Crawford also scored in double figures for the Clippers.

Up Next for the Clippers: The Clippers have a winnable a game with the struggling Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night. The Clippers cap off the week with a big Sunday game versus the talented Phoenix Suns in Phoenix. With some winnable games coming up the Clippers will look to build some real momentum and perhaps an extended winning streak. Although they are in the thick of playoff contention in the Western Conference, Los Angeles hasn’t had the extended winning streaks that they’ve had in recent seasons. The can kick that off with wins in favored games versus the Celtics and Nets and a big road victory in Phoenix on Sunday night.

Get In’s $26.00 | Average $93.00
The Sacremento Kings will be the third game in the Clippers February Schedule of games at the Staples Center. The Kings are pretty much done for the season currently at 16-25. Sacramento could play spoiler to the Clippers as they beat LA at the Staples Center on Nov 2nd. View all Clippers vs Kings tickets for the Staples Center.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Clippers Feb 23rd 2015 7:30pm
Get In’s $12.00 | Average $66.00
If the NBA Playoffs started today the Grizzlies and Clippers would be facing each other in the first round. Memphis is currenlty 3rd in the Western Conference and 6-4 in their last 10 games. The Grizzlies already beat the Clippers at the FedEx Forum in Nov. Marc Gasol and Zack Randoff will be a tough game for the Clippers February Schedule at home but a must needed win as well. View all Clippers vs Grizzlies Tickets for the Staples Center.

The Clippers February Schedule hasn’t been great for them in the past. In 2014 Los Angeles was 7-4 in February. In 2013 the Clippers were just 4-7 in February and in 2012 just 5-9. All four games on the Clippers Staples Center schedule in February are definitely winnable if LA can pull it together.

The Clippers February Schedule of away games doesn’t get much better for the LA. The Clippers face the Nets in Brooklyn on Feb 2nd. Lebron James and the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Feb 5th. The Toronto Raptors the next night Feb 6th in Canada. The Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb 8th at the Chesapeake Energy Center. The Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center on Feb 9th will close out the Clippers February Schedule of road games.

The Lakers are sitting in just four games ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves for last place in the Western Conference and 21.5 games behind the Golden State Warriors. While the 2014/2015 regular season for the Lakers can pretty much be called well before the All-Star game break.

Lakers Draft 2015

Lakers Average Ticket Prices Down 47% In 2015

When Kobe won his last ring in 2010, he probably assumed he might get one more and have as much as Michael Jordan. Flash forward four years, and he is far away from contending for a championship as ever. The Lakers are at least two years away from having any chance for a playoff spot, yet alone championship chance. Hardly anyone could envision Kobe trying to drag a weak team in his last years as a Laker. But the reality is the Lakers are lottery team, with no shot of improving in the short future. Kobe, for his part, does everything that he can, and the home games for the Lakers are still one of the most entertaining in the league, and a true show.

In the 2015 regular season the Lakers are still in the top ten attendance wise for games at the Staples Center but have actually fallen below the Los Angeles Clippers who are ranked 9th with an average of 19,147 per game while the Lakers are averaging 18,956 (99.5%) per game according to ESPN which is actually a little bit down from their 2013 season of 18,997 average. On the road the Lakers are ranked 6th in the NBA with an average of 18,197 (95.2%) as fans come out to see Kobe Bryant.

Since their high of an average of $187.00 per ticket in the 2013 season Lakers ticket prices although on the uptick in 2015, average ticket prices are still down 33% to $125.00 per ticket and over the past week the average Lakers ticket price is $98.00 per ticket on the secondary market.

“Tickets are just like the stock market” according to Chris Cabrera the CDO of Barry’s Tickets “prices can vary almost by the minute depending on inventory as well as story lines going on with teams and players at any given time.” When Lebron announced a leave of absence Cavaliers average ticket prices vs the Lakers and Clippers dropped by as much as 13% right off the bat while other games such as the Orlando Magic last night ended up about 12% higher on average. If the Knicks were playing well, the return of Derek Fisher, Carmelo Anthony and even just the hint of Phil Jackson would make the Lakers vs Knicks a hot game but because of their play this season prices are down a good $10% on that
game.

Heat @ Lakers Staples Center, January 13th
Starting price $46 | Average price $160
With all the talk of Kobe versus Lebron, fans forget how memorable the duels between Kobe and Wade are. For long they were considered the two best shooting guards in the league. There are new kids in town, but Kobe and Wade are still premium players that are no strangers to direct duels. Best of all, both are true competitors, and love to go against each other. Fans might remember the All Star game in which Wade tackled Kobe under the basket. That play is the true picture of the competitiveness between the two. View Lakers vs Heat tickets for the Staples Center.

Cavaliers @ Lakers Staples Center, January 15th
Starting price $100 | Average price $129
Rumors are, Lebron James will be ready to go in this game. There will be few chances left for fans to see Kobe versus Lebron in person, and in one of the most famous arenas in the NBA, the Staples Center. This will also be the first duel between the new look Cavs and the Lakers. View Lakers vs Cavaliers tickets for the Staples Center.

Celtics @ Lakers, Staples Center, February 22nd
Starting price $40, Average price $137
The duel between the two of the most successful franchises in league history is always entertaining, no matter who is on the floor. The teams played in Boston this season, but their duel in the Staples Center is even a bigger show.View Lakers vs Celtics tickets for the Staples Center.

Clippers @ Lakers Staples Center, April 5th
Starting price $50 | Average price $150
The Clippers spanked the Lakers two times this season. It was long ago since the Clippers swept the season series with the Lakers. The teams will play home and home game on April 5th and 7th, and the Lakers are the host for the first one. That game might be the best chance the Lakers have to get a win versus their city rival.View Lakers vs Clippers tickets for the Staples Center.

Kings @ Lakers Staples Center, April 15th
Starting price $23 | Average price $80
This is the last game of the season for the Lakers, and they would love to say goodbye to the lowly season with a win. The Lakers hopes for improvement lie in the draft, and in free agency in the summer of 2016. This season will go down as one of the worst in franchise history, but the team will have a chance to say proper goodbye and versus an old rival nevertheless.View Lakers vs Kings tickets for the Staples Center.

Although currently the Lakers are 6-13 on the road the demand to see Kobe Byant has heated up some secondary ticket prices in other markets.

Lakers @ Warriors March 16th Oracle Arena
Starting Price $84 | Average Price $170 (up 21%)
Kobe against Stephen Curry and his 22.9 points per game average as well as Golden State being one of the hottest teams in the NBA and this game being so close to playoffs has driven Warriors vs Lakers ticket prices up 13% from last season to average of $170.00 per ticket which is 21.42% higher than the current Warriors Ticket price average of $140.00 per ticket.

Lakers @ Trail Blazers Feb 11th Moda Center

Los Angeles Kings Fans

Ducks & Rangers are LA Kings Top Tickets of the week

After a solid Christmas week that included home victories over St. Louis, Arizona and San Jose, the Los Angeles Kings had a tough swing through Canada, followed by a Saturday night home matchup at STAPLES Center versus the Nashville Predators. The Kings lost three of four during the week, including overtime losses to the Predators and Edmonton Oilers. The week ended with a wild lost to Nashville, 7-6 in overtime, following a ferocious comeback from the Kings to tie the game.

Week Recap: The Kings kicked off the week with a trip to Calgary to take on the Flames, falling behind 2-0 on two first period goals from the Calgary Flames, a minute apart from Curtis Glencross and Markus Granlund. Tyler Toffoli scored in the second period to pull within a goal, but the Kings were unable to get another shot past Flames goaltender Jonas Hiller. Following the loss in Calgary the Kings made the trip north to Edmonton to complete the Alberta back-to-back, losing 3-2 to the Oilers in a shootout. Like the night before the Kings fell behind 2-0, coming back with third period goals from Drew Doughty and Jake Muzzin to tie the game and send it to overtime and then the shootout. The Oilers would prevail in the shootout, ending a nine-game losing streak. The Kings would preserve an all important road point, setting up the opportunity to pick up a victory in Vancouver to complete the three-game road trip on a positive note. The Kings prevailed in Vancouver by a 3-2 score with Justin Williams and Jarret Stoll scoring late to give the Kings a come from behind win. The victory overshadowed the fact that the Kings fell behind 2-0 in for the third consecutive game, coming from behind once again. The Kings comeback gave them three points on the road trip and send them back to STAPLES Center for a Saturday night matchup with the Predators on a winning note. In one of the wildest games of the NHL season the Kings would score first and then give up five unanswered goals to the Predators, eventually falling behind 6-3 on an Ollie Jokinen goals mid-way through the third period. Amazingly the Kings would storm back and score three times in the final two minutes of regulation to tie the score at 6-6 and send the game into overtime. The Kings expended effort likely contributed to their sudden loss when the Predators scored just 18 seconds into overtime.

Up Next for the Kings: The Kings have three days off before they host the New York Rangers at STAPLES Center on Thursday in a Stanley Cup rematch. The Kings defeated the Rangers in six games last summer to win their second Stanley Cup title in three seasons. The Kings complete the week with another game at STAPLES Center on Saturday, January 10 when they host the Winnipeg Jets.

Where They Stand: With 47 points the Kings are in 5th place in the Western Conference, tied with the Vancouver Canucks. They are eleven points behind the Anaheim Ducks, who lead both the Western Conference and the Pacific Division.

Clippers Week Recap:
Monday night the Clippers traveled to San Antonio to face the defending NBA champion Spurs. San Antonio has been struggling of late due to a myriad of injuries and had lost four straight entering the home matchup with Los Angeles. The Spurs welcomed star point guard Tony Parker back from a five game absence. Parker scored 26 points, igniting the Spurs to a 125-118 victory. Chris Paul led the Clippers with 25 points and 9 assists, with Blake Griffin chipping in 22 and JJ Redick 21. After the tough loss in San Antonio the NBA schedule-makers didn’t do the Clippers any favors. Los Angeles had to travel to Atlanta to face a tough Atlanta Hawks team on the second night of a road back to back. The Clippers were unable to hold onto a thirteen-point lead, losing 107-104 when the Hawks outscored them by five points in the fourth quarter. Blake Griffin had 21 points and 11 rebounds, with Chris Paul chipping in 19 points. The Clippers started strong, including a 17-0 run in the second quarter, but just couldn’t hold on, with Atlanta securing the victory late. After the loss in Atlanta the Clippers returned home to STAPLES Center to host the west leading Golden State Warriors on Christmas night. The Clippers put together an impressive performance, winning 100-86. Jamal Crawford took over in the fourth period, scoring 12 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter to propel the Clippers to victory. The Clippers momentum didn’t last as they lost a tough one Saturday night to the Toronto Raptors, who had the benefit of largely having the Christmas week off. The Raptors outscored the Clippers by ten in the fourth quarter, sealing the victory behind a big game from point guard Kyle Lowry.

Up Next for the Clippers: After their toughest stretch of the season the Clippers continue their seven-game home stand with an easier stretch of games as they host two non-playoff contenders in the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers. Both teams are well out of contention, with Philadelphia and New York currently featuring the two worst records in the NBA. The three-game stretch should be a good opportunity for the Clippers to get another win streak going and build some momentum for the following week when they host the Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.

Where They Stand: With a 20-11 record the Clippers are in sixth place in the Western Conference.
