Michael Nelson Trout was born on August 7, 1991 in Millville, New Jersey. He is one of the outfielders of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He stands 6’ 1” and weighs 200lbs.

Trout was drafted by the Angels 25th overall in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He has an impressive record of hitting .360 with one home run, 25 runs batted in and 13 stolen bases in 164 at bats over 39 games. He ended the season, hitting .267 over 15 at bats in five games while playing for the Cedar Rapids Kernels.

Trout is one of the top prospects in baseball and was named the second best overall prospect by Baseball America, during their midseason update in July 2010. He was also named 2010 J.G. Taylor Spink Award as the Topps/Minor League Player of the Year

In 2011, He made his major league debut that night, going 0–3 with 2 flyouts and a groundout.  Trout was named Baseball America Minor League Player of the Year and outfielder on Baseball America’s 2011 Minor League All Star team. Trout hit his first major league home run against Baltimore Orioles pitcher Mark Worrell on July 24, 2011.
