It all begun on 6 May 2011, in London at the Hammersmith Apollo. Angus Young officially announced that the band was planning to release a new album before the end of 2013. And a tour to support the new album. Malcolm Young, in an interview with Australian radio Triple M, confirmed that the band will release a new album by the end of the year 2013. These were his words:
“the company that AC/DC have been signed to for almost 40 years, Alberts, confirmed that AC/DC will be touring behind a brand new album the next year”. Not to mention that 2013 will be the year of the 40th anniversary of the formation of the band.
So, what should fans expect from a band that has broken all the records, making his last tour the third highest grossing tour of all time? Black Ice World Tour, from 2008 to 2010, lasted more than 20 months during which the AC/DC have played for more than 5 million people worldwide, including 108 cities and 20 countries. The tour was widely celebrated. It was favorably received by critics and audiences, the Chicago Tribune described it as “a celebration of all that is great in rock ‘n’ roll”, and defined the band’s music “Rock ‘n’ roll that survives the time.” Black Ice, the album that preceded it was acclaimed by critics and ranking number 1 in 29 countries.
So it is normal that there is certain electricity in the air, when it comes to the argument of a new world tour. At this time, fans can only wait in trepidation the announcement of something official.
AC/DC will be destroying your ear drums when they come to Los Angeles Staples Center for their 40th anniversary tour. We will have all the ACDC Los Angeles Concert dates very soon.
I am very glad to hear they are touring again, its one of the bands that I have always wanted to see and haven’t been able to yet.

A huge game is coming ahead for the LA Clippers next Tuesday, on January the 22nd . They host the Western Conference leading team (record-wise), the Oklahoma City Thunder. It will be playoff-type game. In fact, these teams are the two favorites as the finalists on the Western Conference, so it will be no surprise to see Chis Paul, Blake Griffin and their company fight against Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook for a chance to compete for ring.
It will be the second meeting between these two teams. Last time, the Thunder managed to escape with a close win at overtime, 117-111, but can they repeat? Also, the biggest question most people might have is which team can actually dethrone the Miami Heat and win the championship this season. The Clips and the Thunder are the two best teams in the West and also have the two best records in the entire league respectively.
Chris Paul has really lifted up his game during the last weeks and he is getting the help he needs from almost every teammate. He has missed three consecutive games due to a bruised right kneecap, but he will be ready for this derby, even sooner. Griffin and Crawford have proven to be the main supporters for Paul, but in general, Coach Vinnie Del Negro has just too many weapons he can use with effectiveness. Can the Thunder last and prove that they have matured enough to win a championship, after last year’s demolition in the finals by the Heat?
Well, this game will answer a lot of such questions regarding the top teams in the West and will show which one is more ready and complete. Apart from the ranking boost the winner may get, the momentum gained will most probably be the number one factor coming into this game. Both teams need this win. It is predicted to be a spectacular game with lots of tension and some great performances, with so much star power on court.
Staples Center will be rocking for this one of the Clippers biggest home games of the season.

We are excited to discover that David Bowie has released his first song in over a decade! The sixty-six year old pop star has let the press know that a follow up album to his song is to be expected in March. Fans of David Bowie are shocked and enthralled by the comeback of David Bowie. The song, Where We Are Now, is sad. David Bowie tackles his age and the span of his career in this stunning video. It echoes the message of facing death. The pain in David Bowie’s video tells a story of aging, of regret, of the toll the music world and fame can and most definitely will take on aging celebrities. The end of this exquisite song has a Bjork look alike leaning on Bowie. The tease that perhaps she will sing lingers over our heads but alas, just as she opens her mouth to utter a sound, the video and song end.
There are rumors that as a part of David Bowie’s upcoming album release, he will be performing at the Los Angeles Staples Center. David Bowie is from Brixton, London and his career impacted the music world in a major way. His work is innovative, his branding distinctive with his metrosexual, bisexual, and eclectic personal style. Bowie is considered 39th on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and 23rd on their list of Best Singers of All Time. He has been married to Supermodel Iman since 1992and they have a daughter. Bowie has won fifteen awards out of forty-five nominations in his career. His 1969 Space Oddity song earned Bowie an Ivor Novello Special Award for Originality. He has also won a Saturn Award for Best Actor after starring in the film The Man Who Fell To Earth. Bowie’s acting career spans nearly thirty projects as an actor alone. He also produces, writes music for film sores, and has cone dozens of documentaries. Bowie has over twenty-five albums to his name. Now you can stay on top of David Bowie’s latest achievements by visiting www.BarrysTickets.com 24 hours a day. Gary Bettman and Donald Fehr have made their peace, the embarrassing lockout is over and hockey is finally back. The NHL will now squeeze a forty-eight games season and a complete playoffs into the next six months. The Kings, who barely squeaked into the postseason and then went on a dominant run to win their first Stanley Cup are uniquely positioned for a quick start. This truncated season will reward teams that can start quickly. They’ll be no preseason games so teams that return the core of their roster from the previous year should be strongly positioned to get out of the gates quickly.
Of course repeating as Stanley Cup Champion is harder than winning it in the first place, at least in the modern and more parity-filled NHL. The days of the Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins winning multiple titles in a row are long gone, with the Detroit Red Wings being the last to repeat nearly fifteen years ago. The Kings will also have the clichéd target on their back as they go from plucky eighth seed getting hot at the right time to defending champion. Still the entire core returns from last season save the retirement of role player Ethan Moreau, so the Kings should be primed for a quick start.
Here’s a rundown of the roster.
Goaltending: In Jonathon Quick the Kings have one of the youngest and most talented netminders in the NHL. The team smartly rewarded last year’s Conn Smythe winner with a ten-year $58 million dollar contract. Quick gives the club great stability and a player who should be a perennial Vezina Trophy candidate. For insurance they have the very talented former first round draft pick Jonathan Bernier to back up Quick. If the team chooses to keep the talented Bernier they have an outstanding backup with a career 2.50 Goals Against. If they choose to trade Bernier they have a tremendous chip to bring instant help in others areas or talented prospects. It’s an excellent position to be in. Considering the quick start to the season and the potential for back to backs due to the shortened schedule the Kings may be smart to hold onto Bernier as an option at the trade deadline.
Defense: Although seen as risky at the time the Jack Johnson trade turned out to be the right move and didn’t have an adverse effect on the club’s defensive core. Drew Doughty started slow following his contract dispute but still played a heavy volume of minutes and had a strong regular season. Doughty’s commanding playoff performance cemented his position as one of the top defensemen in the league and a future perennial Norris Trophy candidate. Rob Scuderi is a capable veteran and a sold partner for Doughty. In Willie Mitchell the Kings have a steady veteran along the lines of Scuderi. Mitchell teamed up well with Slava Voynov last year and they should again be a consistent second unit behind Doughty/Scuderi. With everyone back there’s no reason Quick and the defensive corps shouldn’t continue to lead a club near the top of the NHL in goals against.
Forwards: Make no mistake the defense and goaltending carried the Kings to the 8th playoff spot with the offense kicking in during the playoffs. After a fairly pedestrian regular season the line of Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown and Justin Williams exploded in the postseason with Williams scoring twenty points in twenty games. Due to injury the club will be without Kopitar for three to four weeks to start the season. The more high profile but less productive line of Mike Richards, Jeff Carter and Dustin Penner could be in for a big season. Richards had an up and down regular season but has been a consistent 75 to 80 point scorer during his career. He flourished in tandem with Carter in the playoffs and there’s no reason that can’t continue. For all his talent and sheer size and athleticism Dustin Penner has been an enigma during the regular season. If his strong playoff performance can carry on into the regular season the Richards line has the ability to be elite. The third line Jarrett Stoll, Trevor Lewis and Simon Gagne is a nice mix of young talent and veteran leadership.
Prediction: Typically a championship team with every player back is the bonafide preseason favorite to repeat. So the big question: are the Kings a legitimate power that will continue their ascent or did they capture lightning in a bottle? A lot of things went right for the club in the postseason. Quick is an elite goaltender but it’s hard to imagine him repeating his utter dominance of last season. And can the Kopitar line continue to produce like they did in the playoffs? The rapid fire season will be a test of the Kings depth and resolve. They are equipped for the long haul and should be a contender for a top three spot in the west. Come playoff time, anything can happen.

Much buzz has been circling the former four-time all- star Pau Gasol about a possible trade this season. The Lakers have been thinking about trading him since the 2011-2012, when our team targeted Chris Paul, but the trade was called off. After that, he stated that this behavior from the team wouldn’t affect his way of play, after all it’s all professional. But he didn’t keep his promise. Where is the Gasol that would win us Championships? He is a 7 footer skilled big man with a firm jump shot and is, or rather was, almost unbeatable close to the rim. And now, he has become a role player that, ok, starts the game but then again he rarely finishes it. How can we have a player of that class not contributing for us? We can’t afford leaving such players at the bench in crunch time.
It may be wiser for teams’ officials to start thinking about trading him. Not only could we acquire one or two valuable members for Pau, but it may also be better for him to start over in a new uniform. What could we get back in a possible trade? Well, half of the teams in the NBA might be willing a lot to get a player like Gasol. Just imagine we get a player like Gasol in return, but this time he also plays like Gasol and not like Valanciunas. Because, unfortunately Pau is playing like him right now. For example imagine we get the young and promising Cousins plus 1-2 other role players. Or Millsap together with Marvin Williams and Raja. Or even Amare (ok this one might not work well neither). But really the possibilities are endless. Even Boston could make a deal with us or the Bulls with Boozer, anyone.
Maybe Pau himself is thinking about the way out, although his press statements moved in the opposite direction. “No, oh, that’s radical. I still believe. I still have faith in what we have. I still have faith that I can be a big part in helping this team succeed. Right now, I’m not being able to do that very often.” Those were his words after our loss against the Clips. I really want to believe in Gasol and even Kobe made comments about him, stating that the he should get more involved on offense. I mean, you can‘t go to Kobe or Dwight on almost every possession and wait for others to get open. Our opponents know that we always do and they lock us down on defense. But if distribute the ball more and more guys contribute on offense, that will not only boost their mentality, but will also break the defense apart, providing help and opening more lanes for Kobe. It’s really basketball fundamentals which coach D’Antoni should inhale to our offensive system.
Whether we trade Pau or not, this situation can’t continue any longer. We simply can’t continue to struggle and fight to sustain a 0.500 record. Either trade him or utilize him better. We have to make radical steps forward. Look towards the future dear Lakers’ managers.

Which team can claim itself for being the best in Los Angeles? Is it perhaps the legendary Lakers of Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard or is their era coming to an end and they have already been dethroned from the young and energetic Clippers?
I think that whoever had a doubt this season about the above questions, got his answers for good after yesterday’s Clips domination on the floor. You don’t need to be a stats specialist to understand that the power and dynamics of the Clips is way beyond our city rivals. It’s been too long since we could celebrate a win against the Lakers. They were always a championship team with some great players always on their roster and of course Coach Phil Jackson doing his magic orchestrating the way of play. But from this season on things are about to change. We have made some huge steps forward and we are in a position right now that we can claim our team being the best in the city.
Of course they got Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard and also Steve Nash, not to mention their role players. However the Clipps still got the advantage here. I mean look at their aging roster. How many years do they have left? Can Kobe continue his acrobatics after he turns 35? And how about Nash, will he still be playing at 39? I don’t think they can even reach us and I also don’t think that they will be in a better position in the near future. Not when we have two monsters in the team, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Paul made Kobe look old and slow once again, as he stated some days ago. In the meantime, Griffin put on a show last night scoring 24 points against a team with arguably the best front quart in the league. Not only did he smash the key and made some huge plays against Gasol and Howard, but if you watched the whole game, you could clearly see the difference between the energy level and the effort from our players against the Lakers.
A close look at the stats, can unveil a great difference between the two teams. We average 101.5 PPG while holding our opponents to 93.2. The Lakers are near to us scoring points, 102.8, but take a look at their defense; they allow 100.5 PPG. That’s a big difference maker for a team’s winning record. Plus, the Lakers rely too much on Kobe and Howard. Kobe scores almost 30% of the points his entire team does every game. He, together with Howard, combine to reach almost 50%. In contrary, we are a well balanced team, so even if one of our stars is having an off-game, we have many other guys who can step up and lead the team towards victories. Just look at Jamal Crawford’s stats. He’s averaging almost the same points as Paul does and also Matt Barnes. He came as a mediocre role player and has provided some huge minutes for us up to now.
It’s the second time the Clips got past the Lakers this season; first one came on November 2nd, while Mike Brown was still coaching them. Despite almost 2 months have passed since and we really can’t wait to meet them again, because after all it’s not only about winning the Lakers but also winning the Battle for LA.
