Peter Gabriel Tour comes to Hollywood Bowl and Santa Barbara Bowl
Following a critically acclaimed New Blood tour in 2011 that reignited Peter Gabriel fans across the world by reimagining his best known songs through stunning orchestral arrangements, Gabriel announced today his return to U.S. stages to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his groundbreaking, iconic album So.
Released in 1986 and produced by Daniel Lanois (U2, Bob Dylan), So is the best-selling album of Gabriel’s career. His fifth solo studio effort featured hit singles 86 “Sledgehammer”, “Big Time” and “In Your Eyes”. Gabriel also plans to revive the original touring band from the 5-time platinum selling album. In addition to performing So in its entirety, fans can also expect Gabriel to deliver a set of greatest hits and other fan favorites.
To coincide with the tour, Gabriel will re-release So on September 18 on CD, special edition 3-CD set, and a super deluxe box set.
Gabriel toured last summer in support of 2011′s New Blood, a collection of orchestral re-recordings of various tracks from throughout his career.

Despite supposedly having been dead for over 15 years, Tupac Shakur joined Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on the main stage at Coachella late Sunday night. Coachella Music Festival Tickets are still on sale for April 20th, 21st and 22nd.
An all-too-realistic hologram of the late rapper rolled through “2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted” and other hits in the California desert. Even more unnervingly, he started his mini-set by shouting out “Coachella” by name.
Aerosmith reveals details for its “Global Warming” tour beginning in mid-June.
With Cheap Trick in the opening slot, the Live Nation-promoted tour launches at Minneapolis’ Target Center June 16. Last stop on the announced dates is Washington’s Tacoma Dome Aug. 8. Stops along the way include Cleveland (June 19); Chicago (June 22); Detroit (Auburn Hills) (July 5); Boston (July 17); Atlanta (July 26); Denver (Aug. 1); Oakland (Aug. 4) and Los Angeles (Aug. 6).
Aerosmith will also touch down in Milwaukee for the city’s annual Summerfest July 7.
The tour announcement comes with all the quotes from those lovable rockers you’ve known for 42 years.
“The old Aerosmith is back with a new vengeance and we will kick your ass and make out with yur mothers,” frontman / “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler said.
“Can’t wait to bring this band back home,” guitarist Joe Perry said. “It feels like we’ve been away too long.”
And one more, this one from bassist Tom Hamilton:
“After touring Japan and South America last year we’re psyched about bringing it all back for the hometown fans. We’re going to break out the classics, the hits and maybe even some of the new ones we’ve been banging out in the studio. Can’t wait to get to Minneapolis!”
In Los Angeles, Diamond will celebrate the 40th anniversary of his 1972 “Hot August Night” double album by playing a return engagement at the Greek on Aug. 11 and 16.
And in a lineup that, at press time, already featured a number of major shows at the Greek — including gigs by Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, a season-opening Cinco De Mayo festival starring Los Lobos and visits from Al Green, Alan Jackson, Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band, and Crosby, Stills & Nash — the Diamond booking is, well, a gem.
Hodges said Diamond and Azoff have been “very hands-on” in working with the Greek in putting the show together at the 5,800-seater, where a few seats and part of the orchestra pit will be lost in order to expand the stage and set up several rows of VIP seats.
Diamond will return to the stage this summer and play all the hits made famous by that recording, including such standards as “Solitary Man,” “Red Red Wine,” “Song Sung Blue,” “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Sweet Caroline” and “I Am … I Said.”
Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks will reunite and hit the road with their “Heart & Soul” Tour this summer. The two music icons will make a stop in Los Angeles but dates havent been announced yet!
“I couldn’t be happier to be back on the boards with Stevie this summer,” Rod Stewart said. “We had fantastic fun on the road together last spring and I’m thrilled at the chance to bring it to new cities and fans this summer.”
Stevie Nicks said…”I had a great time last year on the road with Rod, he is really fun to work with. I am very excited to join him again this year.”
Celebrated by both fans and critics alike, Rod and Stevie first joined forces in the spring of 2011 for their acclaimed “Heart & Soul Tour.” The 18-concert arena tour was highlighted by two sold-out shows at both New York’s Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The 3+ hour shows featured individual heart-pumping sets loaded with all of their biggest hits – opening with Stevie’s and closing with Rod’s – with a few rousing duets in the middle. US Weekly called the show “magical,” with a setlist that “sparked non-stop cheers from the sold-out masses,” and the Boston Globe declared “Stewart & Nicks make a classic combination” delivering sold-out audiences a “hits-packed night of crystal visions and reasons to believe.”
You can sign up now to recieve information on the Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks Los Angeles Tour dates. It is rumored they will be playing either the Staples Center or Hollywood Bowl and we will have tickets for any Los Angeles dates.
