I went to see Maroon 5 perform for the Citi/AAdvantage Card Love the Journey Concert Series at the historic Orpheum Theater with almost 700 people in the audience. Adam Levine and the rest of the band were all wearing white when they went center stage that was backlit with bright white lights in accordance to the Friday Night Whites tradition.
As the band started playing the first few tunes of “Payphone”, the crowd stood up from their seats and started bobbing their heads and tapping their feet on the ground while singing. No one was sitting down. Everybody’s having a good time. The transition between songs was so smooth and it has a club like feel to it which I like. Every single person in the audience enjoyed the music and dance to their songs. The band’s hit song; “Makes Me Wonder” added a joyful mood to the night followed by Adam Levine’s reaching out to the audience and giving us ideas about his motivation and inspiration of his songs. Adam also shared a story in his life when he was at the point where he knew he could not write anything. But through the melody in his head that he started humming, the melody of the song “Won’t Go Home Without You”, he was inspired again and continued to make great songs. Maroon 5 also performed “The Man Who Never Lied”.
We also danced to the tune of “One More Night”. As the band performed, “She Will Be Loved”, everyone became even more excited as we cheer and also sing with the band. I really love their performance and we participated in every song that Maroon 5 performs.
This is truly an electrifying concert. Not only did I enjoy the music but I also enjoyed listening to the band’s stories as they started their journey in the entertainment industry.
Maroon 5 will be at the Staples Center March 15th 2013.

 Lady Gaga In concert
It was one of the stunning concerts that I’ve seen as Lady Gaga rocks Singapore Indoor Stadium for her Born This Way Ball. The first sold-out night of her three-night tour in Singapore (May 28, 29 and 31) was attended by thousands of fans of all ages; female, male, young and old. The stage was dazzling with a castle and the design setting was changing as different songs played. Her opening song was “Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)”, as she appeared on the stage on the top of a black unicorn prop.
Lady Gaga’s powerful music, extreme dance moves and not to mention her unique sense of fashion were showcased during the concert. She had costumes of futuristic soldier, meat dress outfit and eccentric costumes with sequences that added entertainment to the astonishing event. She even played on a piano that was designed like a motorcycle for her performance of the song, “Hair”.
What overwhelmed me the most was the part where she shared her stories of her youth. How she struggled to survive from the mean boys in high school and how they made her feel like a loser. She had words of encouragement to the fans whom she often call, ‘Little Monsters’. Her speech moved me and some of the audience were even in tears. It was a touching night and everyone enjoyed the show as she also stated that we all deserve to be happy. As the concert was about to end, she also said that she wakes up every morning and pinch herself because she can’t believe that she’s a star. She ended the show with an encore version of “Marry the Night” and everyone was enjoying it. The concert was worth watching with a full blast of unique and extravagant entertainment. I can’t wait to see her next concert tours!
Lady Ga Ga will be rocking the LA Staples Center Jan 20,21.

The trio from Teignmouth, Devon, wrapped up the iTunes Festival last September 30 at the Roundhouse, and what a finale it is. The series of concerts hosted by Apple lasted all throughout the month of September and the British rock band delivered an exceptional performance to a capacity crowd at the North London venue.
Muse played a 16-song set which was comprised of songs that are well known as well as seven songs from their latest album, the 2nd Law. The venue was limited to the stage setup from the usual larger-than-life and extravagant concert that I attended. Once again, I was impressed by Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard for their electrifying performance.
They opened their set with Supremacy, a song from their new album, and steadily worked up the crowd with slow but powerful guitar riffs and wailing vocals. After the first song, they gave a shout out to Led Zeppelin’s guitarist Jimmy Page who watched the performance; I was surprised that Page was there as well. From there, Muse showed why they endured as one of the premier UK bands starting from their inception back in 1994 up to this day. Some of my favorite songs such as Supermassive Blackhole and Knights of Cydonia are the best performance for me. Their mellow songs such as Save Me set a contemplative mood to us fans, rendering a more intimate emotions for the band. The song Madness also made apparent the influence of dubstep to their latest album which shows the continuous evolution of their music.
To close the event, Muse encored with the singles New Born, Starlight, and concluded the night with the 2012 London Olympics theme song Survival ending the performance with cheers from the audience as we all enjoyed the show of this epic band.
Muse is currently on tour for in the UK to promote their album, 2nd Law. You can purchase Muse Tickets for their Los Angeles Staples Center show in Jan now.
