July 22nd, 2012
 Angeles Stadium
July has been a great month for the twenty year old Mike Trout, he’s hitting .419 with seven homers, 14 rbi’s, and eight stolen bases. While the Angels are just 8-8 in July theyre showing improvements and are now just five games behind the Texas Rangers in the AL West, and are currently leading the Wild Card race at 51-43. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have won 36 of their last 58 games after just starting out 15-21, and Mike Trouts’ call up has been a big part of the turnaround.
The twenty year old Trout is currently leading the American League with a .354 average, although he was just called up on April 28th he is running away with Rookie of the Year honors and his name has come up when talking about possible MVP candidates. Since coming on the scene he has bashed 15 homers, and has 46 rbi’s in just 72 games this season. With the Texas Rangers struggling as of late the Angels have been able to make up some ground and are in position to make a run in the second half. With the surge of his supporting cast, including marked improvements from Albert Pujols in the last couple months and Mark Trumbo bing an unexpected power source, they have what it takes to possibly take the division from the back to back AL pennant winners. Trumbo is hitting .307 with 66 rbi’s and 27 homers this season, good for the third most long balls in the majors trailing only Adam Dunn and Josh Hamilton. Pujols has turned around his season after his worst start of his career, bringing his avg up to .281 as of late, his power has returned as well, 3three in the last week and 17 on the year. Things are looking u for this offense, as all three of their major guys are hitting on all cylinders.
While the Angels are averaging over six runs a game over their last six games the pitching is beginning to come together as well. Jered Weaver is having another great year, posting a 12-1 record and a 2.20 ERA, which is good for second in the American League behind the White Sox Chris Sale’s 2.11 ERA. One of the favorites to win the AL Cy Young no doubt. They have found a solid closer in Ernesto Frieri, who has been lights out since earning the spot as closer. He has converted all eleven of his save opportunities to this point and is posting a 1.38 ERA to date, with 65 strikeouts in just 39 innings. Sometimes in sports the best team does not win, but merely the one playing the best at the time that it matters the most, the Angels appear to be peaking at the right time as we head down the stretch. Things are starting to come together and with twelve games remaining in the Angels Schedule against the division leading Texas Rangers the Angels will have ample chances to prove they’re the best team in the AL West.

 Angeles Vs Dodgers
Still with baseball’s best record almost three months into the season, the Los Angeles Dodgers show little signs of slowing down. Even with injury to shoe in All-Star and MVP candidate, outfielder Matt Kemp, the Dodgers continue to roll on with solid pitching and timely hitting, maintaining a healthy 4.5 game lead in the NL West.
This weekend the boys in blue take on their crosstown rivals, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Angels Stadium. This will be the second time the Dodgers and Angels face off for the battle of L.A., in which the hopes and dreams of many So Cal baseball fans will be a preview of the potential Freeway World Series to come.
The Halos last left the Dodgers with a bitter taste in their mouth, as they took the series two games to one with an Erick Aybar home run in the 9th inning of the rubber match. The Dodgers hope to avenge themselves this Friday with Chris Capuano (having a career year) on the hill against former all-star Dan Haren for the Angels. You won’t want to miss these two hot teams battling it out in this newfound rivalry for the throne of L.A.
We still have seats to match all price ranges for the Angels Vs Dodgers.
Promtions at Angels Stadium this weekend are:
6/22 Big Bang Friday promotional night
6/23 Sunday is Kids run the bases night.

 CJ Wilson LA Angels
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Pitcher CJ Wilson
Christopher John “CJ” Wilson was born on November 18, 1980 in Newport Beach, CA. He is a professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Attended high school in Fountain Valley in Fountain Valley, CA and attended his college at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating high school, Wilson went undrafted. Instead, he was offered walk-on roles at Division I universities. In the end, he chose to attend Santa Ana Junior College. “Realistically, I was physically behind and couldn’t compete at the D1 level yet. Don Sneddon and his coaching staff at Santa Ana really gave me the chance to work my way into maturity by emphasizing self-discipline. I wanted to be a Major Leaguer and knew I could do it with the right amount of work and focus. ”
After two very productive seasons at Santa Ana JC, the young pitcher got a scholarship offer from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He took the offer and transferred to Fountain Valley believing it would positively impact his chances for the June Draft. His standout performance that year earned him MVP honors in the Orange Empire Conference and California Junior College Co-Player of the Year, thought he still went undrafted.
The sinistral pitcher decided to apply himself in his academics, juggling daily practice while actively making an effort in his passion, film. He took a hefty course load in his major, screenwriting, and attended classes with well known actors, writers, and directors.
He was finally drafted in the 5th round of the 2001 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers. He was scouted by Tim Fortugno, who also resided in Huntington Beach. “Tim believed in me and took a chance on me. It was the happiest day of my life. ”
The next few years, Wilson started off by flying through the Minor Leagues, starting the 2001 season in Pulaski of the Appalachian League, afterwards being promoted to Single-A with the Savannah Sand Gnats. He moved through High-A Charlotte (Florida State League) and into Double-A Tulsa (Texas League) by late 2002. His exceptional start was not without faults, however, as he encountered several major obstacles, namely:
2001 – Promoted from rookie ball to low-A ball mid season, then suffered stress fracture in leg.
2002 – From High A ball All-Star to complete game playoff win in AA.
2003 – AA ace to open the season, Tommy John Surgery in August.
2004 – Missed entire season, setbacks from surgery including nerve damage.
Wilson’s real breakthrough season came in 2007 when he became the closer for The Texas Rangers, which “was an absolute dream come true.” He was 11 for 12 in saves in just his second full season in the Majors.
2010 saw Wilson named to the starting rotation. Starting in the majors for the first time since his rookie year, Wilson would prove to be one of the best pitchers in the league and would start the second post-season game for the Rangers. In two seasons as a starter, Wilson compiled a 31-15 record with six complete games, one shutout and a 3.14 ERA (427.1 IP – 149 ER) in 67 starts. His 31 wins are tied for seventh most in the Majors over the last two seasons. For his career, Wilson is 43-35, with six complete games, one shutout, 52 saves and a 3.60 ERA in 325 games (73 starts).
By 2011, Wilson’s talents had helped guide Texas to a second consecutive World Series berth. The lefty made a career-high 34 starts (T1st in MLB) registering a 16-7 record with three complete games, one shutout and a 2.94 ERA (223.1 IP – 73 ER) while walking 74 batters and striking out 206. He finished among A.L. leaders in wins (T4th), strikeouts (6th), ERA (7th) and opponents’ batting average (10th, .232). Wilson’s 2.31 road ERA (121 IP – 31 ER) was the lowest mark in the A.L.
Wilson joined the Angels on the same day Los Angeles agreed to a 10-year, $254 million deal with first baseman Albert Pujols. “It’s crazy, obviously, with Albert going over there,” Wilson told reporters. “It’s a big swing of the balance of power in the West. I thought I was going to make a little bit of difference and he’s obviously going to make a huge one. I mean, nobody saw that coming.”
Currently, Wilson is part of a dynamic pitching foursome that also includes Jered Weaver (the ace), Dan Haren (possibly baseball’s most consistent arm the last seven years) and Ervin Santana (among the most electric in the game).

 Latroy Hawkings Angels
LaTroy Hawkins
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim is a team with a lot of outstanding players. One of these players is LaTroy Hawkins.
LaTroy Hawkins is a 6 feet five inch relief pitcher who is a right-handed thrower and also a right-handed hitter. He used to play baseball when he was in high school in Westside Gary, Indiana. It was in 1991 when he was drafted in the 7th round by the team of Twins in the amateur draft. He signed with the team on June 7, 1991. By then, he has his next four years playing in the team’s minor league system. In April 29, 1995, he has his first appearance in the Major League Baseball and it was challenging for him as the team faced the team of Orioles. However, over the next few years, LaTroy Hawkins was able to bounce between the big league club and Salt Lake of the Pacific Coast League, finally landing in his team’s bullpen permanently in 1998. And he was the opposing starting pitcher in the perfect game by Yankees pitcher David Wells on May of 1998.
LaTroy Hawkins of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim was born on December 21, 1972 in Gary, Inidana. After eight seasons with the Minnesota Twins, LaTroy Hawkins moved to the teams of Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, New York Yankees, Houston Astros and Milwaukee Brewers before joining the team of Angels of Anaheim. It was one of the great career opportunities for Hawkins. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and veteran reliever Hawkins agreed to a one-year deal worth three million dollars in December 2011. He was 39 years of age then when he signed with the team of Angels of Anaheim, entering his 18th Major League season. His past two years was spent with the Brewers, posting a 2.42 ERA in 52 appearances in 2011 becoming a key figure in the team’s runaway division title in the National League Central.
LaTroy Hawkins continues to flourish with the Angels of Anaheim. In fact, this right-hander pitcher spends his time in the camp with the team of Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim which is his ninth team in ten glorious years. According to LaTroy Hawkins, joining and spending time with the Angels of Anaheim team is really fun among all of his stops along the way in his journey in the world of Major League Baseball. In addition to this he also stated that he is moving around the game, he’s playing with the greatest players in the world, and what excites him the most is the fact that he is almost forty years of age and playing a kid’s sport, anyone can’t beat that according to him. LaTroy Hawkins really enjoys being with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim team. Age does not matter indeed when you will embrace your passion and follow your dreams…LaTroy Hawkins saw this opportunity to flourish with the Angels of Anaheim.
We have Angels Tickets for all home games at Angels Stadium.

 Daniel Haren Los Angelesa Angels
You can see Daniel Haren and the rest of the Los Angeles Angels when you purchase Angels Tickets from Barrys Tickets.com.
Daniel John Haren who is of Irish and Mexican descent was born on September 17, 1980, in Monterey Park, California. He is a Major League Baseball starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Haren graduated from Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, CA in 1998. He then attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA on a baseball scholarship. Together with Noah Lowry, a left-handed pitcher just one month younger than Haren, they formed the best starting pitching duo in the West Coast Conference.
Both Haren and Lowry skipped their senior seasons. Lowry was taken in the 1st round o 30th overall by the San Francisco Giants and Haren was taken in the 2nd round on 72nd overall by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2001 Major League. Haren posted a 2.22 ERA in 17 starts, and Lowry posted a 1.71 ERA in 18 starts.
In 2002, Haren made 28 starts in A-ball for Peoria and Potomac, finishing with a combined ERA of 2.74. He started Double-A Tennessee, but was promoted after eight starts to Triple-A Memphis in 2003. Then he made his major league debut at the age of 22. He showed off his batting skills by hitting the very first pitch he saw for a double. He was out-dueled by Jason Schmidt, who went on to finish second in the National League Cy Young Award voting that year.
In 2004, he was sent back down to AAA Memphis and received a late-season call-up, and made five appearances in the post-season for the Cardinals, including two in the World Series. He was later traded to the Oakland Athletics for Mark Mulder, one of the best pitchers in the American League at the time.
Haren went 14-12 with a 3.73 ERA in his first full season as a major leaguer. He also got the opportunity to pitch against the rival San Francisco Giants in the Bay Bridge Series.
Haren broke the top 10 in the American League in the following categories: innings (217-9th place), strikeouts (163-6th place), and complete games (3-4th place) in 2005.
Haren had one of the best seasons among any pitcher in the majors. Haren finished in the top ten in the American League in wins, with 15, strikeouts, with 192, and finished in the top three in the AL in ERA with 3.07 in 2007. He was also selected to start the MLB All Star Game that year and was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks along with Connor Robertson.
2008, he was selected to the 2008 All-Star game at Yankee Stadium along with his teammate, Brandon Webb. He has an impressive 3.33 ERA to go along with a 16-8 win-loss record, and a career-high 206 strikeouts.
In 2009, Haren was also selected a 2009 NL All-Star, representing the Diamondbacks along with Justin Upton. He was named # 33 on the Sporting News’ list of the 50 greatest current players in baseball finishing with a record of 14-10, 3.14 ERA, and 223 strikeouts.
In 2010, he joined the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Haren went 5-4 with 75 strikeouts and a 2.87 ERA and posting a .364 batting average and .902 OPS with one home run in 55 at bats.
As for his pitching style is often dubbed a “chess match” by reporters and announcers. Haren usually has a slow pitching delivery, highlighted by a slight pause in the middle of his windup, that he speeds up with runners on base. Haren throws a 91-94 mph fastball with movement. A recently added 90-93 mph two-seam fastball, a sharp split-finger fastball, and a spike curve. Haren has also added and relied more heavily upon an 86-90 mph cut fastball, which he credited for last season’s success. His curveball is just an average offering that he flips over to get ahead early in the count, while his splitter is a plus pitch and his main strikeout weapon.

 Jeremy Moore Los Angeles Angels
Los Angeles Angels Jeremy Moore
Jeremy Jerome Moore is one of the most aspiring players in the field of baseball. In fact, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim believes in his potential signing him a contract during September call-ups on the 1st day of September, year 2011. However, he signed as a draft on the 10th of June, year 2005. Jeremy Moore’s debut in Major League Baseball was on the 2nd day of September and it was a big break for him as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim made him the team’s outfielder for Major League Baseball.
Jeremy Moore was born on the 29th day of June, year 1987. He was actually born in Shreveport, Los Angeles. Jeremy Moore stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 190 pounds. At a young age of 24, Jeremy Moore’s passion for playing baseball is really outstanding. He is in fact a great exemplar of the complex interaction between the skills and tools of a player.
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim drafted Jeremy Moore in the 6th round of the 2005 amateur draft when he was in high school in Vivian, Louisiana. Jeremy was a multi skilled sport star during high school, and rather raw as a baseball player, but the Angels of Anaheim believed that his power and speed combination was commendable of development. In 2007, Jeremy hit .272 with 14 homers and 17 steals for Orem in the Pioneer League. Promoted to Low-A Cedar Rapids for ’08, Jeremy hit just .240 and struck out 125 times with just 21 walks in 362 at-bats, but he also hit 12 triples and 17 homers while stealing 28 bases. Jeremy hit .279/.330/.443 with 11 homers and 17 steals for High-A Rancho Cucamonga in 2009, then .303/.358/.463 with 10 triples, 13 homers, and 24 steals last year for Double-A Arkansas. Moreover, for Triple-A Salt Lake, Moore is hitting .229/.334/.541 with 23 doubles, 15 triples, 14 homers, 17 steals, and a 20/107 BB/K ratio in 394 at-bats. Jeremy Moore is a left-handed hitter and right-handed thrower. Jeremy has a substandard throwing arm; however, this has not stopped the Angels of Anaheim from using him in right field frequently. Jeremy is indeed fast and can handle center field without any difficulty. His range is a major asset and his speed also shows up on offense, mainly with the large number of triples he hits. For four consecutive seasons, he’s surpassed double-digits in triples. He is still improving his baserunning abilities to go with the speed tool. Jeremy Moore’s set of predefined tools stands out, and his combination of defensive ability, speed, and occasional power is fascinating. The imperfections in his skills provide him a high risk factor, but even a small amount of progress in his hitting tactic could lead him a long way.
Jeremy received awards such as MID Player of the Week on the 9th of June, 2008 as well as TEX Post-Season All-Star and TEX Player of the Week in August of 2010. Jeremy Moore will continue to flourish as a remarkable player of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Jeremy started and will continue to make stories and legacy in the history of Major League Baseball.
